Seems kind of a waste to give a guy so much guaranteed money then cut him the first day of camp. Maybe he showed up out of shape or something??? Oh well, I was looking forward to seeing how he'd do In pre season was pulling for him🤷♂️

If he gets anything less it will point toward the disturbing report of negotiations being done before the suspension was even announced — which would be B.S.

Going to be interesting to see how a former judge handles a situation that has no criminal elements with the only real actionable piece is that he settled the cases. Should be good.
July 31, 20223 yr We Eagles fans are spoiled. Team just shared their day 3 highlights on YouTube....all 32 seconds of them. I guess when you practice for an hour it's hard to come up with highlights.
August 1, 20223 yr In terms of Sirianni/players coaches vs. authoritarian coaches.... I see both sides. Definitely see why wearing a Hurts shirt is short-sided and perhaps goes against the "constant competition” narrative the team pretends to have. But it’s pretty obvious Hurts is gonna get every opportunity to start this season. So I get the coach supporting him publicly. It could backfire pretty easily, but so could the AJ Brown acquisition. But also, that’s a tough balance for a coach. We’ve seen it go both ways. Andy is a players’ coach, he won a SB. Tomlin too. Doug did for us. And we’ve seen hard ass coaches lose their teams like Meyer and McDaniel. And Chip Kelly for us. But we’ve seen it go the other way too. Bill B being the most obvious example. For me, I’d prefer to have a likable coach if possible. I like Nick. Seems like a good dude. Can he coach? Idk. Would I rather win another SB than like the coach? Sure. But it is nice having a staff you can want to root for. But there has to be a balance. I don’t think making a bunch of talented, rich, athletes, who know someone else will pay them, feel like they’re treated like children is sustainable. But being their best friends and not holding them accountable won’t either. I don’t envy any NFL coaches. Doesn’t matter though. This IS Hurts season, whether we like it or not. I’m not too concerned about the shirt. I’m more concerned about how the offense is going to adjust. Will we adjust to what is sustainable, or adjust to the QB’s strengths and limitations?

It doesn't take leadership to put on some hard-ass act. Being yourself is real leadership. Yes and no...I hate putting leadership in a box/giving it walls/etc, so I get what you mean. Being genuine is part of being a good leader for sure. If there's a different Nick in meetings/behind closed doors then yes, it is good. I'm not sure I've seen the accountability aspect in public, which I get you don't poop where you eat (the public view for the NFL), but I've never really seen him rip someone (doesn't need to be in the rah rah way either) and that's what worries a lot I think. I do however think that he's handcuffed a lot, there's no way any HC of any of the 32 teams would have looked at last year and not even given the impression that there's a competition with Jalen and Gardner.

At least want to make sure my phone has no problem picking up wifi. What kind of wifi extender do I need? Off the nearest corner of my house, the garage is going to be about 10 feet away. Its going to be 23x27 with 2nd floor storage area (dont really need wifi up there). I think my wifi will range out there fairly well, but I feel like I should probably put something just to make sure the signal is strong. 3 hours ago, 4for4EaglesNest said: This is the one I bought for the fire pit last year. I'm not a fan of repeaters for something I want constant. I'd almost suggest trying to run a hard wire if you can. That's really not that far. I'm assuming this is gonna be a man cave?

I also want a convenient place to keep all of my car detailing supplies, and a place to be able to pull the car in to to use those things out of direct sunlight. Also, the 2nd floor storage is going to be huge for us to free up living space in the house. But, I would like to make it nice. Want some nice cabinets. A very small mini-fridge. and maybe a cheap TV. I would like to have the option to potentially entertain in there. Im not gonna run a wire because Id have to run it through my house too. My modem/router is in the most convenient spot for usage in the house. I dont want to move it just to run a wire to the garage where I wont be using it all that often. My wifi already extends outside the home a bit. I figure (but dont know) Ill only need something pretty minor to extend it a bit farther and make sure the signal is plenty strong. Im guessing Id just need something that plugs in to the wall for around 30-50 bucks. But Id like to know from someone who knows what theyre talking about if Ill need more than that.

He ripped into Jalen multiple times on the sideline last year. Reporters talk about him having a hot head at practice all the time. I think it's there. Agree that Howie controls a lot of things (practice schedule, all roster moves, even some lineup decisions, etc). Nick isn't the Andy Reid type who has a full binder on how the job is going to be done. I do think he's a very good coach though. And I think he's a good game planner. Or he's riding Steichen/Stoutland's coattail, impossible to know for sure, but I've heard some people with NFL sources talk about how respected he is as an offensive coach.

But I think part of that for me was just watching our QB last year not be able to get the ball out quick in tight windows, and seeing anyone being able to do that was like a breath of fresh air. But I like to watch players interview and see their demeanor, how they answer tough questions, and see how "likable” they are. Pickett seemed like a strong minded dude. Carson Strong just seemed kinda.. idk what word I’m looking for.. but not great in that regard. This is gonna sound ridiculous at this point, but I liked Reagor’s skill set coming out of college, but his interviews made him seem immature and ****y. It was my only concern with him, and I think it’s really what’s holding him back so much. He’s obviously not Justin Jefferson in terms of skills, but even if he was drafted too early, he was still at least a second round talent coming out and he hasn’t shown a single bit of his skill set he showed in college. And I’m not even including his supposed speed. He isn’t mentally strong enough for this. And he doesn’t want to be here. I could see him going elsewhere with a fresh start and sticking around as a slot guy somewhere if he gets his head right. But my point is. I think the mental aspect, especially with QBs, is underrated. Strong obviously has questions about his knees or whatever it is. That’s not a good sign. He’s probably not the answer. But whoever the answer is will hopefully have a similar skill set in terms of passing. Because that’s how you win right playoff games. Say what you want about Nick Foles’ career, but he won us that Super Bowl with his arm. And we lost to TB last year because they keyed in on the run and we didn’t have a passing attack to be able to move the ball consistently. As far as investing in Hurts’ potential, and maximizing his talent, I think the Eagles have done a good, but risky job. Obviously, he’s got as good of a supporting cast as one could reasonably ask for. But when you bring best friends together, it could be a tough breakup. Then you have Devonta, who isn't built for Hurts’ skill set at all. He’s the perfect fit for any of the top 10-12 QBs who excel at timing routes. And Watkins is a deep ball specialist. I’m hoping the reports are true about Hurts improving his deep ball accuracy. The thing I think people should keep in mind about reports of Hurts being off in camp is that, what we all want him to do, and what I’m assuming the coaches are asking, is different than the way he naturally has played his whole life. His baseline is relying on his legs. So he’s got to start going out of that comfort zone at some point and start working on his quick passing. That’s what camp is for. He’s gonna have to get those lumps out sometime and better now than the regular season. I’m not expecting a deep playoff run this year, but I’m really hoping the team is at least competitive and fun to watch. My big concern is that they try to over use AJ Brown. Try to scheme him open too much and Hurts key on him too much and become one dimensional in the passing game. Teams will take that away. We don’t have Derick Henry to scare LBs into opening up the middle of the field the way Tennessee did. I want to see this offense be able to overcome adversity when teams take our bread and butter away. Our bread and butter can’t be QB runs and WR screens. Have you ever read A Tale of Two Cities? It’s shorter than your post.

Cap wise the eagles got an extra year to spread out the accounting aspect. So that is nice.
