Strong came is as a guy who was allegedly a polished passer (according to the tate qb experts) who would be better at throwing the football on day 1 than Hurts, lasering balls all over the field with his cannon of an arm. 

The fact that he has flopped doesn't mean that he still can't get better over time, but it does explain why he wasn't drafted and that everyone who spent all summer getting excited about him were clearly grasping at straws, the same way the "Why isn't Minshew starting" crowd is right now. 

 

Most rookie qbs struggle, Lawrence and Zach Wilson were abject disasters last year 

Carson has some time to figure it out and if he doesn't oh well no big loss.

I do not know what to expect with this team.  I hope they have improved on defense but there are still big questions about whether Gannon can get them to perform.  I think the offense should still build around the running game but I am concerned Sirianni/Howie will try to win by passing early.  So the offense may start slow again.  I would be surprised if Hurts look like a good enough passer for this team to look like it can go deep in the playoffs.

I cant wait to watch AJB play man. He just looks so explosive and fluid out there for a guy his size. Im jealous of you older gentleman that got to watch T.O. as an Eagle. I was 6 at the time so i barely remember. I know AJ isnt close to T.O. but he has to be the closest thing we've had since.
