Interesting tidbit about the Dolphins losing their first round pick.  It lowers the number of teams with two picks in the first round of the draft next year.

What makes Watsons case unique is the sheer number of victims all telling similar experiences of Watsons predatory behavior.

In a he said she said case 24 victims is a lot more she saids than Watsons 1 he said.

In a civil suit one doesn't have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt and 24 individual testimonies against Watson creates probable cause.

Ruling probable cause in a civil court instead of guilt in a federal court doesn't change or minimize or justify what Watson did.

After reading the women's accounts I was appalled by Watsons actions.

That he wasn't charged federally or found guilty federally didnt change how I felt about the victims statements, I didn't question their sincerity in their claims or question whether or not what they claimed Watson did was less worse.

If you did that's on you, I'm going to stick with the 25 women victims and choose to believe those 25 over the voice of one man.At the same time I feel zero need to justify or minimize what he did, why would I???why does anybody feel the need to minimize justify sexual violence? 

No amount of legal jargon is going to lessen the impact Watsons actions had on those women.

If you don't think Watson did what those women said he did just say that.

If you don't think it was that bad  doing so is minimizing and justifying.

Do yourself and us a favor and Instead of writing a10 page law jargon filled dick measuring contest just simply state.

I don't know Mills looked pretty good, never can tell, I've seen qbs have better seasons then fall off a cliff and other qbs previously play like hot garbage then next year make a pro bowl

Personally I think mills is good enough to build around, NFL GMs they always like shiney new toys though so🤷‍♂️

I get you took my 99% chance vs Tampa too literal, and sure it's probably 85%, but in my opinion, with Hurts, Bowles, In Tampa and Tom Brady I dont see how they'd win. Outside of Brady getting hurt or the stadium collapsing and a forfeit happened. Which are both plausible if you play 100 times. 

I don't really care about Eagles vs. Tampa, I just wanted to extrapolate NFL football to other lopsided matchups.

 The teams listed, Houston, Detroit, Seattle are likely to finish worse than the Eagles, plus Atlanta, Chicago, NYG and Washington could also be looking for a QB.

I mean, we were supposed to be impressed by Jalen Hurts improving his completion percentage to 61.3%, Mills 66.8% as an actual rookie.

Mills threw the same 16 TD's as Hurts in less games and less attempts.

We have 6 picks in the first 2 rounds for the next two years to offer in a trade up, and we have trader Howie. I like our chances.

Yep.

Seattle has 5. ( 1 extra 2023 1st )

Detroit has 5. ( 1 extra 2023 1st )

That is why Mills working out helps the Eagles.  Houston also has 6, but the have an extra 1st both years, and they also 2 additional 2023 3rds.

Howie is a top 5 GM in terms of aggressiveness and is not in love with Jalen Hurts. He's more likely to do it than not do it.

What? You’re presuming a man guilty and calling him a criminal, when he hasn’t even been brought up on any criminal charges. Grand juries refused to indict him based on the evidence they had. But, you know more because you have this weird need to white knight for these women.

So yes, you are acting on pure emotion. Much like the old mobs with pitchforks used to do. Some of us have evolved past that. Most of us recognize Watson is a creepy dude, but at the end of the day, he’s not a criminal. And that’s not minimizing what he did, it’s just the facts.

I've brought mills a few times. Kid had far more impressive games than Jalen as a passer, just has a lower ceiling for his bad games due to the lack of mobility.  His last games he had 9tds to 2ints against Seattle, Jacksonville, LA Chargers, San Fran, and Tennessee. Kid has potential to be a problem

It looks to me that he also threw for a lot fewer yards on what was almost the same number of completions, which suggests that he was throwing shorter passes, which are easier to complete. So it would have been expected that Mills would have a higher competition percentage. Kinda like the game Sudfeld had in that meaningless finale against the Cowboys when he completed about 80% of his passes but only for a little over 100 yards...and no points.

Citing touchdowns in this case might have some meaning, but a comparison based on completion percentage is just about meaningless.

Quick, could anyone name a Nasty Nate contender or an UDFA who is standing out? What position battle has been discussed? I sure as hell can't.  The only things I've learned about this team over the last few days and the 15 tweets we get per practice are:

-Hurts has been average, hasn't changed running habits

-AJ Brown as advertised when he gets the ball

-James Bradberry looks very good

-Dean/Davis getting starter reps

-Epps is going to be just fine

-Mile Sanders has bigger thighs than last year

-Pascal had food poisoning

-Kelce like bubble wrap

-Other QBs look so-so

-Calcaterra hurt his hammy

-no live tackling unless they have live tackling

 

That about sums up TC for me.  Sad thing is I don't think I care but that comes from recent years of the same limited coverage.  The less attachment to a team you feel the less you want to invest your time.  Still love the Eagles but this team is no longer a passion for me, but a hobby I like to tinker with.  Used to watch every preseason snap, now I couldn't even tell you when the first game is.  Am I alone with these thoughts?

Did you ever go to Lehigh. Not that much difference except one less daily practice.  But that’s the world of the modern CBA.  NFLPA bargained for less practice and less physical (padded) practice.  Anybody having gone through two a days under a hot August sun using salt tablets would think that was a good thing.

Yeah but i have a feeling the lions, Seahawks are competing for top 3 in the draft. Imo i think the 5 worst teams are some order of lions, Seahawks, falcons, jets and jags. Even if lions and seattle aren’t the worse likely picking top 5 and the move up looks more enticing for a teams willing to trade back from 1 or 2 to drop to 4 or 5 then somewhere in the 15-22 range.
