I bet there's 32 owners/ownership teams that made bigger bets than $1500 on their football teams.

I meant actual bets, especially given the prevalence of deals between teams and gambling outlets. I don’t gamble. But I also believe Pete Rose belongs in Cooperstown.

My dislike for Watson is on record, but the duplicity between rich owners and employees in the NFL is deplorable. In a way, I hope that Goodell gets kicked in the balls for appealing the Watson finding because of Snyder being as bad if not worse.

Colts aren’t going to be nearly as good as the media wants to believe.  Very strong possibility they miss the playoffs again IMO

To be honest I really don’t think the Titans are gonna be  as good as they were last year. The Texans and jags are still gonna be bad. To me the Colts are a mystery. Because last year they had a bunch of offensive lineman get hurt and missed time over the course of the season. Carson Wentz wasn’t very good at times especially the end of the year but their o line was a mess from the start of training camp when Nelson got hurt. Imo I think Matt Ryan could be better than what Philip Rivers was in his one season with the Colts. I think Ryan is close to the end but rivers was way closer to the end than Ryan.

Mind blowing

Should’ve put it in the contract he can’t play when there’s double XP weekends for call of duty

You don’t understand the difference between gender and sex?

The definition of each of those things has become almost meaningless,  so no.  It's hard to keep track.  They need to come out with a monthly magazine to keep people in the loop of all the new ones coming out and who is switching.

Hurts under center is a really bad idea IMO.  He was a league worst in 2020 and a league worst again in 2021 in average time to throw — over 3.1 seconds in both years.  Having him start under center where he is forced to do the entire 5 and 7-step drops seems very counter-intuitive for a QB who has been demonstrably slow going through progressions and reads.  Defenses will just key on runs out of that offensive set.

That’s one way to frame it.

I’d argue any QB will have a long time to throw if he is afforded the luxury to play behind one if the best lines of the league.

Works both ways now, JR.  Litigation financing and even investment in litigation. Frankly, I found defendants more willing to cut bait and costs than large plaintiff firms. Buzbee doesn’t lack assets. If plaintiff litigation was a business (and in a way, through sharing information, they are), they dwarf most industries, especially casualty insurers, in America.

In the insurance world up here, every plaintiff counsel works on contingency, usually 30% of the award, plus their costs and PJI. It makes defending claims difficult, and often we settle cases that if they did go to trial, we would likely win. But that small chance we won't is just too costly a burden to bear. Especially on relatively minor claims. Larger claims of course we fight and fight hard. Civil law heavily favours plaintiffs, especially when insurance is the defendant.

She was a She. Then she decided to be a They. And like 2 days ago she said she is feeling more feminine and wants to be a She again.

Its one thing to choose from an ever growing buffet of old, and newly created sexuality types, and expect people to keep up. I dont even know what options are out there at this point. As tough as it is to keep up, now people are going to be bouncing around sampling a little of this, little of that...

How the hell are we ever supposed to know how to refer to someone?

Seems we aren't, and then 'they' can get mad at us for being insensitive.  Can't win for losing.

Here is my solution:

If you believe in science,  in Biology there are predominantly 2 sexes, Male and Female,(with a 3rd- intersex being born at a rate of .about 1%) So from now on, I wont call them a woman, I will say "biological female".  I wont say man, I will use "Male".  Now I am not refering to any social construct of gender, just biology.

Saying "I identify as" is the same as saying "I pretend to be". I dont care what sexual preferences someone has, I have mine, and it's biological females, you cannot shame me or force me to include biological males who now pretend to be a woman in my sexual preferences, nor do I wish to want to change anyones from what ever they like. Live and let live.

However, I believe we do have a huge mental illness issue in this world and we are only helpng to feed it, instead of helping, but thats just my opinion.

I think only one team makes it from the South....and I agree I think the Titans are headed for a bit of a fall, as I don't think Henry ever has a fully healthy season again. They still have a good D and a good coach, which should be enough to take the division. But whoever comes out of there will be one and done, likely losing to a wildcard AFC West team.

Tommy Lawlor with a summary of camp so far

Hurts’ final throw of note might have been the most encouraging. In the face of an overload blitz, Hurts calmly threw at the top of his drop to Brown, who was crossing into the space vacated by the defense with Nakobe Dean (taking first-team reps for the first time this summer) trailing behind him. That result required no guesswork — it would have been a big play. Improving Hurts’ decision-making has been Sirianni’s primary objective this offseason

I can't tell if this pass was actually completed or if they are just happy he made the decision to throw the ball.  Did Brown drop it?  Was it overthrown?  Was it complete?

I think its saying if it were an actual game it would have been a big play

That's what I was thinking, just not clearly written.  Having a LB on Brown would be a great mismatch in a real game.

The lexicon will resolve this soon enough. Someone out there is probably already using a universal set of pronouns, much like they, them, theirs and we, us, our for plural. For direct we already have you, your and I, me mine.  Let’s say "blurp”, "blurps”, for example.  So instead of saying She is driving like an idiot, we will say blurp is driving like an idiot.  If we think the driver is a guy, blurp still works.  In teaching our children manners, we will teach instead of "sir” and ma’am” use "blurz”.  "Excuse me, blurz.  Thank you, blurz. "

Lots of reports of fights this year around the league. They could use a mini basketball hoop and some singing contests.

I would be willing to bet there is an owner out there that has place a bigger bet than Ridley did. I understand integrity of the game but the punishment exceeds the crime on that one.

The Ridley punishment will be collectively bargained, I'd think. While it's blatantly unfair vs other things, and owner conduct, if you don't get caught, you don't get punished.  Ridley made a dumb mistake but by the looks of it, being in the NFLPA made it a harder case to reduce punishment.

We're there and more.  The guy Blurp, will feel like they are Blarp, so will tell you they are being misgendered as a Blurp. Another man will say they are a Blarp and as time goes by, the first Blarp will say they now are a Blart and the second will change to a Blare or a Blarp depending on how they feel; and of course, you care enough that can you can tell when you meet them.

Meanwhile some of Blurps will decide that actually there are Blurpz and Blurpx and ask to be identified as that and Blurps is now an offensive term to them, even though there are lot Blurps who happy to be a Blurp.  Then a Blart will say they are now Blurpz, but feel like a Blartz. And on it goes.

How they have the time in their lives to think like that, I don't know. I wish people well, but I've lost interest in trying to keep up with the latest hysteria around genders and pronouns.
