I'll have my eye on him for PS games, but I still find it hard to believe a dude smaller than Pumphrey will be able to play WR

That settles it.  Jason Huntley is Omar Epps.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Kind of odd there hasn't been any mention of Tartt at all, whose seemingly only been on 2nd/3rd team. Seems like Epps/Chachere both easily outplaying him and there's only 2 spots for Harris, Wallace and Tartt. Also Scott was getting some S reps.

He makes Hunter Renfrow look like DK Metcalf. And he’s already 25, so he’s likely near his max frame.

Definitely.. but you can't hit what you can't catch.  lol

But I thought that was our Olympian!

It would be shocking if they kept Covey over Reagor.  But... I think that would be a really interesting and exciting proposition.  Covey has shake and speed that Reagor was supposed to have when he came out, then the Combine happened... and he's never recaptured that same allure.

Covey has a role in the NFL.  He's tiny but he was DYNAMIC at Utah.  Mainly as a return man but he's like a gnat out of the slot.

Watch last years Rose Bowl.  He just makes big plays in big games.

The bolded remains to be seen.  He does have that element of electricity that has really been sorely lacking for this team for a while, especially in the return game.

Whether one likes it or not, we are all stuck with Hurts thru at least have of this year.  If he really sheets the bed, doesn't improve at all, and we are 3-5 or something then we could see a change.  Otherwise, it is Hurts or bust this year and we can then spend the offseason chasing a QB.

Buckle up for the ride...

Bad thing is, MiniMinshewy is having a bad camp so far. So if Hurts remains a trash, RRR™ QB (Roll Right, Run).... we need a Howie trade miracle or something.

I’m curious if Douglas ever checked in on Dillard.

Minshew isnt throwing to brown or Smith either

No, the Olympian is just your run of the mill track guy who can't translate his speed to football.  He's too big to be your TWSR at 6-1 190.  If you're over 6-0, you're now in the Cooper Kupp, Jordy Nelson category of white WR.

TWSR has to be in the Wes Welker mold.   5-9 185, receding hairline

Take Hunter Renfrow for example.  5-10 185

Haven’t seen an injury update for him but assuming he’s fine and just took a shot to the jewels the other day

Yeah well it would be fun to see Minshew for a stretch of games in any case should Hurts not get the job done.

I think he does.  If you watched any Utah games the last few years, he was the player who popped off the screen.  You have to stay up late to see them but he was always making a play.  I think he just needs that one sliver of an opportunity.

Remember this one time Eagle?  Finished his career with over 600 catches and 6,000 yards.

I know what you are saying, but plenty of guys had traits that should have translated to the NFL and just didn't.

They only got part of his quote.  The whole quote was "I wouldn’t wish that on any man not named Jerry Jones.”

Feel like I'm seeing Jobe's name a lot when they're reporting on the 2s. Lots of CB depth.

Modern science has not moved beyond chromosomes...

X and Y are binary.  What's not binary, due to technicality, is XY vs. XX, as there are certain extremely rare chromosome anomalies with other combinations.  The presence vs. absence of a Y chromosome, however, is entirely binary.  AIS is the one exception, but that is beyond the scope of this.

The human body makes its sexual determination at the chromosome level, so I suppose that is crude.  I'm not going to comment on gender identity, which is a different issue.

First let's make it clear for everyone what the difference is between chromosomes and genes.  Chromosomes are structures within cells that contain a person's genes. Genes are contained in chromosomes.  Genes are segments of DNA that contain the code for a specific protein that functions in one or more types of cells in the body.

Now with respect to where modern science currently is, all you have to do is follow the money ... and look at the amount of funding (both private and public) that is going into genetic research, and then compare that to the funding that is going into chromosomal research.  Genetic research funding is massive (billions and billions and billions of dollars each year).  Chromosomal research funding is (to quote the old  limerick) "so small it is nothing at all."

Most of that is just water weight though.  He's mostly suffering from dehydration.

Leroy butler is the first up at this years HOF. They said a stat that including the 2022 class there’ll be 362 players in the PFHOF out of roughly 25,000 players since 1920 means it’s a really rare club.

Trying to distinguish between "chromosomal research” and "genetic research” is not a thing.  Chromosomes are comprised of DNA, which is comprised of nucleotide segments that are genes.  This is semantics.  This is like saying that there is no funding for alternative energy research but there is enormous funding for solar power research.  I have no idea where this is going…

I like him but he has to be the Nasty Nate front runner no?

Wes Welker/Danny Amendola type of player? I remember another small slot guy who was really good as well that started off as a UDFA as well.
