His best plays mostly occurred when the starters were facing backups. Hurts’ first pass of the day was meant for Brown on an out route but instead went wide right and out of bounds. Hurts drifted left on one rep where he could’ve checked down to an open Miles Sanders but likely got sacked instead ... or at most gained two yards before running out of bounds. Hurts definitely got sacked on another rep where he rolled left ... but threw anyway ... and the ball went out of bounds.

There was another 7-on-7 rep where Hurts took off running, which is at least the fourth time he’s done that in camp.

If I’m half as active and lucid at 85 as dick vermeil is I’ll take it now.

Happy and proud to say Dick and Carol are personal friends and I had entertained thoughts of going to Canton until I came down with Covid two weeks ago. I’m thrilled for Dick but I must say I got a little emotional when he honored his amazing wife and the crowd of fans, coaches and former players gave her a standing O. Those two are as genuine as it gets and she is just as sweet a person as he described. She literally calls all of their former players their kids and treated them accordingly.

Eh we knew this about Brown going in. Still a stud on the field, so you can live with it. Reagor on the other hand? GTFO

I don’t really care, it’s just kinda dumb defending one rep in TC. Dudes going to be in for a long season if he cares that much about what people are saying. This isn’t Tennessee anymore.

Scrambling in 7-on-7 is hilarious to me.

We are going to be a problem in this league once we mastered designed scrambles

Yeah, for sure. It just serves no purpose in 7 on 7.

It certainly doesn't. But we do what we know;)

Can't have rabbit ears... not on the field, not on Twitter.  He needs to have a long talk with Brandon Graham.

Not only that, but he admits to battling depression. That’s hard enough without searching out your name on social media.

So is getting sacked

Yeah, go through a couple reads if you want and throw the ball. You shouldn't be getting sacked or scrambling. 7 on 7 is the time to work on your passing game. You can make mistakes. Holding the ball too long and getting sacked and scrambling are a waste of time in that drill.

Only a couple hours away from again seeing the best live band out there currently up in New Haven.

Reuben Frank has been super pissy about people saying Hurts is struggling at camp. He then proceeds to give him a C+.

Listening to Dave Zangaro and Reub's podcast, they say it's impossible to say whether Hurts is having a good or bad camp. 🤣 Whatever that means.

If you want to see the exact same Hurts you saw in 2021 he’s having a good camp.  If you want to see the "2nd year QB leap” (3rd year in this case) he’s having a bad camp

I have to say that was a lovely moment because the camera was on her and you saw the row several rows behind her stand up spontaneously and dick vermeil asks for it to be shown but it came across as a lovely spontaneous moment.

Always is when he says something definitively and then winds up not going the way his "stats” says it should. I brought up the amount of points the eagles scored in garbage time and stats compared to the rest of the league about it. He got mad and blocked me. He’s a loud mouth slob

Trading camp is half over btw

anyone know what time the gate open for the open practice tomorrow?

Throwing picks, getting "sacked”, and leaving the pocket in 7v7’s?!?!

I haven’t been too encouraged from reports out of camp on the offense. Sure, the defense may have gotten significantly better, but the Eagles have added some key pieces to the offense too. I’m not too thrilled they seem to be taking less reps than last year. I really hope this doesn't carry over to the preseason. I don’t want to wait around until week 8 again to get the offense clicking.

I really hope I’m wrong, but it seems like a repeat from last year. This offense needs all the work they can get in together.

It means they are scared to death to criticize Jalen Hurts for one reason and one reason only.  It's the elephant in the room.  I know it's uncomfortable to talk about but I guarantee you that's why.

By all accounts, Hurts has had one "good" day.  The rest have been not good or just eh.  If that was Carson Wentz performing like that you better believe there would be articles or tweets criticizing him.  They aren't afraid to say that Minshew has underperformed but from everything I've read, he's made the same good and bad plays that Hurts has.

The fact of the matter is we are given a minimal amount of information regarding practice but what we have been given it sounds like Hurts is the exact same guy as last year and all the hard work and dedication only goes so far.  He's a limited quarterback that can run the ball.

One of the "beat writers” wrote an article that was essentially "who cares if Hurts hasn’t been great, here’s how Carson Wentz is doing and it’s bad.”

Thats the coverage of the Eagles.
