I really like strong I like his arm his potential and accuracy and like most rookies, he's a rookie, his head is swimming.

Kenny Pickett the first QB taken in the draft is currently skated as the 3rd team QB.

Lawrence and Wilson were pretty horrible last year as rookies 

Strong is a project and with hurts minshew and even sinnett the eagles can afford to bring him along slowly and see what they got.

Stoll was a great blocking tight end last season. His 84.2 PFF pass blocking grade was the best mark by any tight end last end. The 58.2 run blocking grade Stoll posted leaves a little to be desired, but he certainly has the ability to be a stout blocking tight end for the remainder of his career.

Turns out I had it a little backwards, but with Goedert going out as a target when they pass out of a two TE formation, Stoll's pass blocking has real value, especially if they want to take deep shots off play action out of a running formation. And he should improve as a run blocker, he's simply much stronger than Calcaterra or Jackson (when he returns). He just has to improve enough as a receiver to be a viable option, and he was solid in that department in college, though even in Nebraska, blocking was his forte.

Does that mean if we draft a rookie to replace Hurts next year, we should write off the season?

Is there any sort of stream or broadcast of the open practice?  If I remember they did at least one a few years ago but didn't show any of the actually 7 on 7 or 11 on 11 and instead just showed people like Spadaro talking with someone else about the practice and how great the Eagles are for this open practice and other fluff stuff.

Yeah does seem numbers game wise that unfortunately Ward won't make the team.  If that's the case then I hope that Doug brings him into Jacksonville.  He'd be a good reliable option for Lawrence and also would bring some good leadership to the locker room of that developing team.  And if the Eagles win the Super Bowl this year then Greg Ward is the type of guy that should still get a Super Bowl ring even though he wouldn't have been on the roster for the season.

Undrafted out of Houston, switched from quarterback to wide receiver when the Eagles signed him, released six times from 2017 through 2019, caught a team-high 53 passes in 2020 when nobody else could catch a pass. Steady, smart, tough. Total team guy. Unfailingly unselfish. Natural leader. Will catch a five-yard pass on 3^rd-and-3 every time. Has carved out a nice career for himself as a reliable slot and returner. But I just don’t see where he fits in on the 2022 Eagles. Nick Sirianni likes a more vertical presence in the slot than Ward, whose 8.7 career yards-per-catch is eighth-lowest in NFL history by a WR with 50 or more catches. With Brown, Smith, Quez Watkins and Zach Pascal locked into four spots, Jalen Reagor still around and Covey’s roster hopes gaining steam, I don’t see a spot for Ward. 

Seumalo apparently having a great camp. Should be the favorite at RG, some speculated before camp, Driscoll might be the fav.

Seumalo is easily the starting RG in a run heavy offense. That’s his strength.

He also only played 29.5% of the offensive snaps last year.

That number would regress if he played more snaps.

I would be curious to see how many more snaps the guys in the top 10 played, and if those guys were lined up next to tackles as good as the Eagles.

I haven’t seen or isolated Stoll nearly enough to have an opinion on his blocking.  But if he’s some great pass blocker, a mediocre run blocker, and a sub par receiver (all assumptions that may be short changing him)….then something is wrong with the OL and offensive scheme if we are putting him on the field in 2 TE sets just to utilize his pass protection.
