There it is again. I don't think you can actually speak to someone with respect. Sad.

Got it. So just go disrespect every human being you don't know because you feel they haven't earned your respect.

Maybe go learn what that quote means first before you use it..

So, couple of months, 700 pages and 4 X still telling people what to think and casting aspersions on differing viewpoints.

No crap.

Gonna hope the influx of talent in the secondary raises the bar in our pass defense, give our new D line a chance to get home..

Met Nick at Wonderland Pier in Ocean City last month  Nice guy, pushing a baby carriage,  Family mode  Took a pic with my niece, Melissa, who runs the joint.  He is a smooth guy, low key but focused. Said "It's summer but I Never stop thinking about my Team. Ready to get back to work, Rookies coming in, training camp about to start. Can't wait to put these guys the field...

We were there about a week after. It became a tradition for my kids to ride the train with my dad. This year we werent going to do a whole night at the park but went in to see what it would cost just to have everyone ride the train. I forget what the cost of that ride was per person but it was something absolutely ridiculous. So, the tradition is ended.

Tell your niece to bring the prices down a little bit.

Here you go. It’s really a special moment. Take your time with it. Wash your hands after.

Watching those 11 v 11 scrimmages was discouraging, if not surprising.  The Eagles have made a big investment in Brown, Goedert, and Smith to have a guy playing QB whose attitude is "it’s my ball, and I’m keeping it until someone makes me give it to someone else”.

If Hurts is set on running that often in the regular season it’s only a matter of time until one of his wheels gets wonky again.  Unfortunately he doesn’t possess the other skills necessary to compensate for compromised mobility if he plays injured, so the entire team will suffer.

It will be interesting to see how defenses game plan for the Eagles offense.  The thing about the wildcard game last January is — everyone watches the playoffs.  It will be surprising to me if every team doesn’t stack the box and dare Hurts to throw downfield.

Thank You.

It was a very nice afternoon meeting.

I was quick, didn't want to hold him up but he was generous with his time.

As I said, I like him.  Glad he's leading the charge!

The reality of beating the bad teams to start off the season? That's what Hurts does. What he also does is get his ass kicked against good teams. How will the Koy be able the handle the reality of his ass being tossed out after another first round playoff loss?

One issue that hasn’t changed is putting his eyes down to watch the rush, and leaving clean pockets early.  What I don’t get is why Hurts lovers refuse to see this issue as a serious problem?
Baker, Malik Willis, and Sam Howell all have this flaw, and its not a mobile QB problem, Lamar like Allen keeps his downfield when he scrambles, Lamar’s issues are mechanical and anyone that watched the MNG vs Indy where he went off, could see his flaws on just about every throw.
Btw, this has hampered Hurts since Alabama, and Riley at Oklahoma didn’t care, he gave Hurts one read and permission to run.  Maybe the Eagles should just go the 49’er route, Jimmy G isn’t much better than Hurts and they would have made it to the SB if Tartt catches an easy interception.

Might be worthwhile to try him out at LT at this point.  Our LT's keep getting injured we are down to our 4th string LT and Strong doesn't look cutout for a NFL QB.

Then I guess him and Hurts have something in common. Time to move the RB to RB.

No one will be upset if Hurts has the team 6-0. I would love for Hurts to be the answer, but I don’t have faith.

Honestly, many of us won't get that excited either because it's all BS as long as Hurts is starting. The "just make the playoffs so I have an excuse to get drunk for another week while watching them get destroyed" crew will love it, but it ends with them losing.

He is a detriment to this team because they can't move forward or be bad enough to get a replacement. I've never hated an Eagles QB as a player (not a person) before and that's why.

I mean.. that’s pretty intense. I didn’t like the pick. Still don’t. He’s pretty much shown to be exactly who most thought he was, including his college coach. Like Ferris said, I want him to succeed. I think he’ll be better than last year. My concern is that they tailor the offense to his strengths, instead of seeing if he can handle being an actual NFL QB, and it works well enough to win a playoff game, but makes the team stick with him too long. If he can’t go through reads and we have to scheme to his limited (so far) passing abilities, then you’re limiting your offense and chance of success. It can work until you need to come from behind late in games. I’m afraid he will look just good enough to divide the front office on what direction to go. If we go 11-6 and win a playoff game, how do you justify drafting a rookie who may not be able to do that? Optics. The team around him is good enough to make that happen, even without elite QB play. The telling thing for me will be what happens with our WRs. I think they will scheme Brown into space and won’t utilize Devonta Smith’s strengths that made them move up in the draft for him. Devonta with a top 10 QB who throws timing passes would be top 5-10 in the league in yards. But I think he won’t see as many targets this year. The question is, is the team gonna try to win now by coding Hurts and his limitations, or are they gonna run an NFL offense and see if Hurts can hang? One is a short term thing and one is the long game. I’d like to believe they’ll play the long game and try to challenge Hurts, but I think they’re gonna try to do what he does best, the way the skins did with RG3 and it won’t be what’s best for the future of this team.

But I don’t hate Hurts. I’d like him to prove me wrong. I just don’t think the things he’s bad at are teachable or practiceable. They’re innate traits people either have or dont. Very few people have what it takes. And I haven’t seen it. But he seems like a nice guy. He’s an athlete. I wish him the best. But I think this team has dug their heels in with him and I don’t see it going well. AJ Brown will get just yards and stats. He’s gonna be fine. And will stand by his best friend. Goedert will get his just based on the offense. Devonta has showed he can get open. He should eat this year with an NFL QB and a pro bowler opposite him, im just not sure we have that.

But hate is a strong word. I don’t hate anyone on this team, really. Reagor seems like a weak-minded sissy. And Miles Sanders seems kinda similar, but not as bad. But this is a pretty likeable team. I’m just worried we’re in QB purgatory. Hurts is good enough of a football player to beat bad teams with the weapons he has. The defense may be good enough to allow us to beat decent teams. It’s a matter of if we can beat really good teams. Last year was hard to watch. On both sides of the ball. But especially offense. I at least know that this year I have a reason to watch now that we have some DL and LBs to evaluate. But those 3 yard runs on 3rd and 7 with guys open are bad for my blood pressure.

Correct. They’d be stupid not to. The Bucs exposed it. Any team worth its salt will follow that game plan.

This team is setup to be able to beat that. You can’t double team everyone. If you double Brown and shade coverage to Goedert, whilst stacking the box, Devonta and Watkins should eat. Devonta gets open. So even if the play design is covered, there is no excuse for not still moving the ball unless the QB "can’t read” and takes off running into a stacked box. That should tell us what we need to know.

The best thing for this team is for Hurts to be the guy. So I want him to succeed, if it’s real success. I just don’t want him to do just enough to get a good record and not be good enough to be a true contender. Success, to me, isn’t about stats or records. Or fantasy numbers. Success would be getting the ball to third reads. Keeping eyes downfield when the pocket breaks down. Winning from behind by utilizing good route runners. Seeing open guys and getting the ball out quickly and accurately.

People cite total yards and TDs. Running for a QB shouldn’t be part of the offense, it should be last resort. If this year goes by with the offense leaning on QB runs, I’m over it. I mean, I’m already over it, but I’m trying to stay optimistic. It’s just hard given what we’ve seen

Yep.

I'd bet you'll see teams that are more capable on defense bring pressure from that right side or have a spy sit over there so that he's either forced left or has to stay in the pocket.
