I'm sure SIri is just so in love with Hurts that he'd risk his career and livelihood to give him chance after chance.

Mobile QBs do win games with their legs, yes, a great defense can take away options, they can also smother pocket QBs when there's no running game and you're throwing the ball to Reagor. Let's not read too much into the TB game, or we can go through the list of pocket QBs smothered in playoff games.

RIght now, Hurts is by far the best chance to win games in 2022, the idea that you'd start Minshew or Stinnett is laughable.

Garopollo would be a better option, but you'd still need Hurts b/c odds that Garopollo makes it through a season are slim. And you'd have to expend assets and find cap room to create a QB controversy.

Mayfield is so good that Cleveland grossly overpaid for a QB who could sink the franchise to replace him.

After the season, Howie will decide to go forward with Hurts or go to plan "B". Knowing Howie, unless Hurts either stinks out the joint or has a top ten season, he'll keep his options open, bring back Hurts for 2023 but be prepared to draft/trade for an upgrade if one becomes available.

Has anyone signed up for NFL+?

Was gonna do a free trial for the game this week.  So regular season,  you can only watch the games on phone or tablet.  What about preseason, can I watch on my AppleTV ??

Running games do win games, and if one is satisfied with just that then hurts is your guy.

History has shown though run first qbs dont win championships

That sucks.  He was a good poster.

You think Lurie/Howie have no influence on this?

Forget Lurie/Howie....you think other owners/GMs don't have considerable say in who the franchise QB is?

C'mon Saints, finish with a top 3 pick for us. Would be sweet comeuppance after years of screwing us in the playoffs and drafts.

You should be able to mirror your phone to your smart tv if it’s a fairly recent model. There are plenty of videos to show you how. I think we can also throw in season games from the phone to the tv. I’ll check back on that and report.

The evolution of the blog since the start of training camp.

I get tired of the hand-wringing about Hurts and Gannon and Sirianni. Oh, woe betide. With all that bemoaning, however, I have yet to see a reasonable alternative as to what we should have done.

Perfectly phrased.

Build the roster in the face of an empty cupboard, bide our time, move when appropriate.

Too hard to understand the concept?

It sucks the bottom of their division is so bad.

They play the NFC West and AFC North though so they have fairly tough schedule.  2nd place schedule and they ended up pairing with the Raiders for that odd ball extra game on everyone's schedule.  Great defense and they have some good WRs there now but I think that offense is going to struggle without Payton and eventually Kamara is going to miss a good amount of games for whenever his suspension is announced and settled upon.

I get all that, and iphone with appletv mirroring is easy.

My question was, can I just watch the preseason games right on the NFL app on my AppleTV and skip the mirroring aspect.  I believe I was able to do it that way last year.

I think you are reaching here.  Even in his crouch, he can see over linemen in a 3-point stance.

I’m not sure that’s really a reach. Sure he can read pre snap but he’s going to have trouble watching the post snap movement as the OL fires.

In theory the NFL will block that. What I’m offering is a workaround if you can’t do it like before. Looks like you’re already there.

The Eagles have two 1st round picks in a stacked QB draft.  Howie will find a way to get a QB, just like he did with Wentz.

Have to hope that the Saints pick is top 10, or teams with multiple firsts are in a less favorable position to trade up.

Not super hyped about this qb class to be honest. Seems like a bunch of maybes. Reminds me a lot of the 2011 draft. Lots of names. Not a lot of talent.  I’ll be watching intently this year for sure.

What ??  This class could be the best group in the last 10 years top to bottom.

College football fan? If not you should watch. This class isn't a bunch of "names" and "maybes".... it's a good group and deep group
