For all those who say we didn't change the entire offense and took the ball out of Hurts hands....

Name one.

After watching the whole practice that's on YouTube, I don't see anything that leads me to believe that our QB position has improved.  In 11v11, there's a ton of happy feet and bad throwing motion that comes along with that.  It's clear that his common response to pressure will be to run.

We will win some games with this strong OLine, good D, and these skill players, but its going to be the same as last year.

Friday will be interesting to see, if the game habits will be better.

I do.  You should learn to do the same.

Is that RTK?

no, RTK was busy bringing a fresh baked cake for the Hurts B-Day party.

Lol you think he’s going to play Friday

Good point on that.  He sure needs to, although I'd expect it's just more of the same game.

You mean if Hurts even plays.  We'll be lucky to see a series out of him.

I am cautiously very excited about the defense.  My biggest reservation about the defense is the lack of impact edge rushers...second biggest is the possibility that the deck is just stacked against NFL defenses and, under the current rules of engagement, dominant defenses are transient flukes (at best) or non-existent mirages at worst.

Milton Williams has had a quiet camp, but I'm not really sure how a DL can have a "loud" camp with the way they are practicing.  I still expect big things from him and am very curious to see what a Hargrave/Davis/Williams DL could look like with Sweat and Reddick as stand up rushers.  And in the middle of all that extreme size and athleticism, we'll actually have 2 capable sideline to sideline LBs.  I think that might be the single most interesting front in the NFL and maybe one of the best.

I have high hopes for Graham, I think he still has some left In the tank and may surprise some people

He's played LB in a 34 DE and DT in a 43 so should fit well in a hybrid defense and from all reports doesn't sound like the injury has hampered him much plus we all know he's going to bring it every snap

Having said that I agree, defense In today's NFL at least during the season aren't really allowed to do much but as we've seen over the years seems refs let the D get it a bit more come playoffs.

Yeah, I agree.  Good point.  It likely makes no difference as he again appears to only incrementally developing.  He's lucky to have the talent around him.

Has Siri said how much the 1st team is going. To play?

The 1s should play at least 1 or 2 series. I doubt it though

No.  They likely won't play.

Wonder what QB they could get for Hurts and Cox. Not saying they should.  Just wondering what qb could be had for that duo.

We should’ve got Baker.

Bakers no world beater but he's far and away a more advanced passer than hurts.

Which isn't saying much but still...

If Mailata, Dillard and Clark are still dinged they should probably just play backups and aim for Game 2 to get the starters some work

It’s funny how people think Dillard sucks yet also feel every team will be just willing to throw away valuable draft picks for him.

I wouldn’t get rid of him for anything less than a 2nd rounder and then some. Depth is important. Injuries happen.

Yup. Most teams consider LT to be the 2nd most important position after QB, as such a starting calibre LT should have more value than other positions.

For Dillard a 2nd would be a great get and I'm sure Howie isn't just going to give Dillard away.

We'll see what happens, Dillard being in concussion protocol doesn't t help matters.
