Here’s a random blog question: Who would you vote as single best football player on the team? Not most important, just best at what they’re asked to do.

First thought is Kelce

and

Best player on the team is tough between Lane, Kelce, AJ Brown, and Slay. I'll lean toward Lane.

For some reason, I think the outcome would be a little different for Myles. JM ain't no Mason Rudolph.

I'm guessing practice is over. Did we stay undefeated?

best at what he's asked to do...is Kelce, not even close.

He reads the defense for Hurts(who cant) he helps protection for the line as the Captain of the O-line and o ya, he's an All pro at his position.

With that being said, I will throw Minshew's name into the hat.

He knows he's better than Hurts, He is better than Hurts, and he's paid to keep his mouth shut, support and help the team and he's been great at it

I was watching some homer show for the first time on YouTube, Jakib Sports I think, and they posed this question. The host without even pausing said it was Lane Johnson, no question. His cohost agreed.

My instinctive reaction would have been Kelce, our lone All-Pro. His quality of play is most definable of anyone we have by the fact he’s been All-Pro 4 of the last 5 years.

And then what muddles it even more is PFF stated that not only has Johnson not even been our best OT, but Mailata was a top 3 tackle in the world last season.

It’s interesting how it’s not just 1 clear guy like during the Peters years

No love for Slay?   Really a toss up between Lane, Kelce and Slay.

If @Don Corleone was surprised yesterday at the Geno Smith > Jalen Hurts talk, I'm sure he wasn't counting on reading the opinion Gardner Minshew is the best player on the Eagles team.

I'm partial to linemen but otherwise I'd say that's a good call.

Not Eagles related, but it’s funny cuz it’s true;

You disagree?

A backup is better than our starter and he's paid/told to keep his mouth shut about it and be supportive.

Lol of course I disagree. He's nowhere near the best player on the team

Slay was where I was going with that thought.

Good answer.  His step to get separation is as good as I have seen since Marvin Harrison, who is in the HOF.

Not most important, just best at what theyre asked to do.

They ask the backup QB to keep his mouth shut, they ask him to be supportive, and they tell him to be a backup to a player who is NOT better than him. And Minshew kills it

Boy you get defensive quickly

You literally quoted it yet focus on the last sentence instead of the question

And Reub was wring about Marvin Wilson having a great camp. Marlon T in one on ones or a vanilla scrimmage isn’t the same Marlon T we have seen in PS games.  Not a single one of th DTs vying for a potentially non existent 5th DT slot that they shouldn’t be willing to risk waiving given the next man up is pretty close and one or two of them will make it to the practice squad.
