Top 4 make the 53 man roster. Bottom 4 PS

I think we carry 8 DL
DE(4): Sweat, Barnett, Graham, Williams
DT(4): Cox, Hargrave, Davis, Ellis

The distinction between DE/DT for our scheme will be minimal with more odd-fronts. NT is the obvious exception.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Do they have Milton Williams listed as a DE on the depth chart?

Williams is listed as a DT on the website, but I'm unsure how accurate that is.

I have Williams as the 4th DT with Jackson getting the last spot at DE

Whaaaaat? You're telling me that already the Blog has once again been completely wrong, this time in their blind gullible belief in an obviously fake Twitter account for the schedule?

I'm shocked!

The Blog doesn't think with a single mind... ever.  It is a PLACE where PEOPLE post individual thoughts.  There is no collective mind of 'the Blog'.

Makes sense. I think Kyron Johnson gets that "front 7" spot over Jackson.

It'll be a good battle in camp, because last year's late rounds picks (Stevens, Jackson, Johnson, etc.) are not guaranteed spots.

Kyron will be one of the LB's no?

And yet time and time again it proves to be an echo chamber of the same opinions being parrotted and treated as if they are the absolute truth. Anyone that dare share an opinion that breaks away from the collective hive mind is attacked as a troll.

Anything going on in Eagles land?  It's great you guys all smoke your own meat but was hoping for some more bird talk.

Also how many DT's do we have now and will any be traded?

1 - Fletcher Cox

2 - Javon Hargrave

3 - Jordan Davis

4 - Milton Williams

5 - Marlon Tuipulotu

6 - Renell Wren

7 - Marvin Wilson

8 - Noah Ellis

Apparently we play vs Vikings on MNF week 2. Next year's draft is going to be crazy. Hurts has swag. Also youre racist.

The 2023 QB class is a lot better than 2022's.  So how is that going increase Hurts value again?  Especially if teams know the Eagles will want to move on from him and draft a guy.

Two reasons:

  1. Supply & demand.  Demand for QBs is relatively constant.  However, the supply has been pretty good this year: Deshaun Watson, Russ, Baker, Garropollo, Wentz, Ryan.  This reduces Jalen's trade value.   Next year the supply will likely be less, which means that there may be a market then.  This is especially true because...
  2. Jalen Hurts is likely to put in better numbers this year.  We have a better supporting cast and he has another year in this system.  We'd have a QB with good numbers and with a dirt cheap salary cap number.  That's marketable, that's trade-able.  It would put the Eagles in a position where we don't necessarily have to move on from him, but I still think that's the plan.

What is the conspiracy?

The plan is to increase Jalen's trade value and move him next offseason.

I'd argue that barring a pro bowl season, he's gone next year.

Quick, everyone act like RTK and run to the ignore button because they were wrong about something.

And anyone, like your for example, that posts an opinion that is wrong ( Hurts is gonna make us eat our words in the playoffs ) they run to the ignore button because they are afraid of the fall out of being wrong.  We are all still here, you are the one with half the board on ignore.

Playing in Dallas on Christmas sounds interesting.

I think my experience on here would be improved if I put RTK on ignore.

I don‘t know, they have been notoriously bad on Christmas recently.

With next year's draft class being as strong as it is, Hurts "value" isn't as strong as you might think

That's a plus

For those of you in the corporate world, how’re your employers/various industries taking this market downturn.

At my firm, talks of an imminent recession is pretty wide spread now.

There's going to be a slowdown, but forget about a serious recession, consumer demand is strong, unemployment is as low as it has been since before the 2008 crash, and the world is adjusting to both Omicron and the Russian war.

The Fed is raising rates, cooling the overheated housing market, and companies are learning to adjust to the end of supply chain madness (built around cost cutting without regard to geopolitical and other risks, look for the return of inventories). Inflation will gradually subside and long-term interest rates will stabilize.

Underlying fundamentals are still solid, it's the froth (tech bubbles) that will blow away.

In regards to his friendship with Hurts
