appreciate it sis

Trying out some Climax Moonshine tonight. Watch the show, interested.

Has a little Tequila-like finish but overall very sweet. I'll report back later when I get a biftuooojj ffcvvbdes   kk  :excited:

Damn might want to keep the track star

Greg Ward was underwhelming but consistent for the last few years.  Funny that he's just an afterthought now.  Deon Cain took his job today.  Hell, he may have taken Reagor's job.

Very pleased with the second team OL.

Dillard was solid in pass pro and showed a lot of pop in the run game.

Anderson has been an afterthought with me for the pre-season but he impressed the hell out of me today. Terrific run blocking - he and Dillard had some beautiful double-teams - and secure in pass pro. Moved inside to center and was just fine there too.

Jurgens was terrific again. We have the two best centers in the NFC-E.

Opeta and Awosika were OK. Opeta is a very good run blocker, still limited in lateral movement.

Driscoll was solid. He anchored a little better, it seemed to me, than he has in the past.

Stoll and Togiai helped themselves. Rodgers did not.

Granted this was against Cleveland's twos.

Reagor had some nice plays but there was a run in the first half where he absolutely dogged it. He didn't sell a pass and he didn't block his man, who was right in front of him and who ended up making the tackle. Ugh.

Other impressions.

None of Williams, Tuipulotu, and Wilson impressed me at all. I noted that many on here busted on Gannon but seemed clear to me that he wanted to see who could win one-on-one matchups. I think he called one blitz in the first half and that was it. Nobody stepped up.

Davis did very little.

Dean was paralyzed by play-action. His game is based on quick recognition and reaction, and he was always late.

Looked like they gave Wren a couple NT reps.  Will rewatch the game later.  Jackson (75) showed some bend but would get so engaged with the OT that he would lose contain.  May have been scripted for pass rush but twice he, with lack of support from Taylor, let the RB get big gains from the gap he left.  Curious about your thoughts on Kobe Smith.
Kyron Johnson (58)  played a bit of edge.  Not much there and did not keep contain.  Patrick Johnson (48) played edge too but much better than his "brother”.  In some rush situations they seemed like they were in a wide nine and PJ was more effective than KJ.

Both Taylor and Dean got engulfed at times.  One thing about Taylor is his speed fixes a lot of his initial misses.

The DBs were left on islands most of the game.  Most of the players on D were. That’s kind of the point so they can be evaluated together.  Safe to say, Epps, Harris, Slay, Bradberry and McPhearson seem like locks.  Wallace may be #3 S.  The rest have to either show great promise at their position, none have shown that level of performance, or be close to the other contenders and perform well on STs. As to the latter, that looks like Chachere, Jobe and Gowan.  Scott is a hard call.

Frankly, I thought Anderson looked better than Opeta today.  Awosika needs another year on the PS but he and Sills offer more versatility than Opeta.

I don’t get the Covey love.  I see an undersized player who is quick but not fast enough to get separation. If they trade Reagor, they should keep Cain.  That said, it is important in a game like this to remember that Cain is a vet with three years NFL experience.

I wonder if they just want Huntley to get the reps or if they are hiding Brooks with an eye towards the PS.  A back like Brooks needs more reps than he got.  Cleveland is going to cut a couple of decent RB prospects more likely than not at the 53.

Hopefully. I completely soured on Reagor based on that run play I mentioned earlier. Anything Howie can get for him is gravy. He’s a talent but he’s not a football player.
And yes, a truly terrible draft pick.

Interesting to see how Minshew is talked about in the media.  Outside of the dropped pick 6 and a weak throw to Reagor, Minshew did everything you want a QB to do in this offense.  Almost lock in step, all of them saying Minshew wasn't all that impressive but shows you why he's a veteran backup.  He can come in and run the offense and make throws when needed.  If Jalen Hurts played today and went 14-17 for 142 yards while making quick decisions and spreading the ball around the media would be slobbing over him.

Minshew runs the offense as it's intended.  That's why so many of here prefer him over Hurts.  You invest in WR and TE, you want a QB who gives those guys the best chance at succeeding.

Also, the back shoulder throw to Cain was a gorgeous pass.  It comes off as ho-hum for Minshew because he can make that throw.

Outside of that yes. But way outside of that. It was dreadful. He got suckered by a couple of scrubs.

Nice synopsis. I recorded the game so I will have to watch again to see all the things you expressed. Secondary seems pick your winners, looks good. Huntley, meh. Scott carried the day. Gainwell just as good I thought.

No to Covey, give me Allen, cutdowns will be interesting.

Exposing him to what?  He hasn't taken any team practice reps in 2 weeks.
