I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

While I agree it’ll be tough to not hold onto to Allen, I just can’t imagine them justifying his overall skill set for a roster spot. Route running, hands, etc. But I thought similarly of Mailata so who knows

As much as its sucky cap management i cut reagor

Yeah, but the upside for Mailata was definitely worth the investment of time.  I don't see Allen being anything more than a one trick pony gadget player.  JM became a football player.  Is Allen a football player who can run fast or a track star who plays football?

I was impressed how he tracked that ball but yes I agree.

Only one way to find out

I know Reagor has been a major bust this far but he’s still, at this point, a better player than Allen.

The NFL should eliminate big hits, scoring, and the playoffs. It should just be a series of plays, where we really just want to see everyone doing well. We don’t need "winners” and "losers” and we will never get women on the field if they keep allowing all of this hitting.

I'm about 20 minutes in to the Manti T'eo Netflix show and are they really trying to pass off the catfisher as a victim here?

I thought the same.  The catfisher is a remarkably awful person who nearly ruined his career but they are the victim.  I still have the 2nd part to watch

I think thats an upside debate that reagor loses

Disagree. Reagor is a net negative. Allen is at least unknown, with a potential to be positive.

I hear they have made great inroads on the appetite and nausea with medical cannabis.  My mother died from COPD. She lost tremendous weight and ate so little.  She wouldn’t talk about it but we always suspected that it was hard to breathe when eating and that had an impact.

I puked every day for about 8 months, I couldn't keep anything down lost about 45 pounds.in a couple months, I was in 4 different anti nausea medicines and all they did is keep me from puking all day instead of oart if the day

My oncologist and family were really worried, finally my aunt sent me some pot gummies, that day I ate solid food for the first time in months and kept it down.

I tell people all the time pot saved my life and would recommend it to anyone going through chemo with their oncologist approval of course

Did you watch the entire thing? They were talking about it on the radio. then 2 guys i golf with were talking about it. So I made time to watch it and I turned it off within a couple minutes

I did.  It's awful.  Netflix goes out of their way to paint Ronaiah/Lennay as this victim and how it helped them transition to a woman as almost a happy ending really put me over the edge.  They almost celebrate this person dancing as a woman while Manti Te'o is in tears talking about forgiving this person while he lost millions of dollars and now has to see a therapist.  It's a whole new level of protecting a certain class of people.  Manti should have sued the sh%$ out of them.  The only person who sheds any negative light on the catfish was Dr. Phil.  Shame on Netflix for producing this the way it was.

This person admits that when they were a man, they created a fake online woman persona and catfished multiple men before they found Manti.  Then developed a fake female voice to talk on the phone.  When Manti Te'o lost his grandmother, Ronaiah "died" on the same day.  The Te'o family spend HOURS consoling Lennay's "family" on the phone rather than mourning their own loss.  Then, as Te'o prepared for the biggest events of his life, Lennay comes back to life...actually contacts the girl who's image he stole and had her take a picture by pretending it was for a dying kid so he could send it as "proof" to Te'o that they were alive.  The mind F%$# that must have been for Te'o is unreal.

All the while, Roniah/Lennay is shown defending why they did this all with soft music in the background.  It's a pathetic job by Netflix.  This person should be drug over the coals and made out to be the piece of crap they are but instead they are protected.

Mailata was also like 20 or 21 and was young enough to develop. Allen will be 28 this year. You are only keeping him for immediate contributions to the team, he’s not a guy you hang on to and develop over time.

Uhhh hello? Why do you think Eagles are dominating joint practices? We are ahead of the curve. Once joint practice records become official, no one will be able to touch us.

I watched the whole thing.  Only because I was miserably sick in bed last week.  I didn't enjoy it.  I feel bad for Teo's parents.  Seem like good people.  But GD, how dumb can someone be?

He had to have known in the back of his mind that something was off.  Maybe he needed something and it filled a hole.

I am dealing with a situation with a family friends kid currently ( I have kids of my own ) but it is really mind blowing how detached some of these kids are from the world, and the emotional hole they have that they are trying to fill anyway they can.

Ok that’s a pretty good troll tweet

A fair point. But at least he has one valuable trick. Reagor seems to have none

Wow.  Your final two sentences are amazingly far off the mark.  afan is a ringleader of a Blog clique only in your imagination.  In fact the existence of a Blog clique is also in your imagination.  If there is a ringleader it is Tommy Lawlor ... goeagles99 here in the Blog and the force behind igglesblitz.com. What do you see as the unifying force of what you see as a clique?  Who is in it?

I believe a failure to engage so that he may "win” the argument seems to have him obsessed with AFan.  Way back, when he entered the Blog around 2004, ArlingtonFan has never engaged like that.  State your case for what you see in a conversational mode, discuss if wanted and move on.  AFan sometimes sees things a little differently and that is okay.  Sometimes it is interesting to see things from a different viewpoint.  A broader view is rarely a bad thing.

I think he had to know but was so far invested in this person that the embarrassment of admitting it fed him to keep the charade up.  He told his parents he met her numerous times even though every time there was an excuse why she couldn't.

I was borderline catfished when I was 20, roughly the same age as Te'o.  Only difference is I actually met this girl at the gym I worked at.  We talked for a few minutes, exchanged numbers and that was that.  We both went away to school.  We spent the entire semester texting, talking on the phone and such but every time I suggested going out to visit or having her out, an excuse was made.  Even went out of our way to make her Thanksgiving meal requests with my mom only to have her cancel.  But the conversations were so lengthy and deep that I cared for this girl.  Long story short, the girl I was talking to on the phone wasn't the one I had met at the gym, it was a friend of hers.  It all came crashing down when an "uncle" reached out to me that she was in trouble.  I called a sorority sister to ask and they had no idea who I was referring to.  I did as much research as I could and found out that this girl gave me a fake name and had been arrested for writing bad checks.  Once it was out in the open and I had a clear mind, I looked back at the insanity of what happened to me.  The fake family that was created, the excuses and like Te'o I was sent pictures but that was easy back then.  There was no facetime so it was phone calls and a random picture that was easy for her to steal and send.

When you're young, think you're in love and don't want to lose credibility with family and friends it's easy to ignore red flags.
