Too many injuries.  We need to see if they can cut the pre-season game times back a bit.

One practice per week next year

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

It's 'spoiled'.  I do admire the Feinstein pull, though.

I don't think people are any less nice here than in real life.  Maybe it's my profession.

People are just more confrontational here than IRL, and that can be misconstrued as being less nice. But that is the way of the internet.

Either way, it is just a board, and at the end of the day, most of us are still rooting for the same team even if we vehemently disagree on things.

Disagree. Reagor is a net negative. Allen is at least unknown, with a potential to be positive.

Reagor is not quite at JJAW level

Reagor's ROI is really really bad.

At this point he has to be below Brown, Smith and Pashal... on the depth chart.

With playing time, Deon Cain could prove more valuable.

It’s an old joke. I respect the game.

@austinfan is a staunch defender of the Eagles organization and I think his posts can give insight into what might be the perspective of the organization on some decisions.  Him expressing and defending them here doesn't hurt my feelings.

People confuse trying to understand why a decision is made with a defense of a decision.

Too often, decisions are judged ex-post, when hindsight is 20/20, I want to understand the reasoning ex ante, when the decision has to be made with insufficient information.

Confirmation bias says if you focus on the result, you'll get a skewed take on whether it was a good decision. For example, people used to think there were financial geniuses, based on results, then careful analysis showed that most "winners' were just lucky, only a very small minority of financial managers had results that were statistically different from random fluctuations. But if you judged those managers on results, without taking into account luck, many seemed to be above average.

It is better to be lucky than good, but confusing luck with skill leads to overconfidence.

Ridiculous. Teams are already going full Belichick and doing whatever they can get to gain an advantage vs us and our perfect joint practice record.

Uh oh.  I also heard the Dolphins have bottled water but the Eagles were given TAP WATER.

Linemen need an edge to their game. Every snap is a fight.

Liked one of these, hated the other lol hope the defense gets a little more in the receivers face.

Well, I wonder if joint practices will not matter once we take the L ??

Its not w binary thing but yes winning is the only thing

we can enjoy plays, individual performances etc but the only real prize is the title. That is the essence of sport.

I can play some good golf but if i lose the match it was for naught

I am not surprised that you and I differ on this, but we do agree that it's not a binary thing.  If the title is the essence of sport, why are the players who lose paid?  Money is the essence of sport ... because Sport (with a capital P) has evolved from being games that people play into an entertainment business.  For the most part the investors in Sport today don't care about winning.  Rather they care about the financial bottom-line.  Their advertisers don't care about winning.  Rather they care about audience size and demographics.

Do you ever play golf alone?  How does that work?

Thank you for the reply.  I always appreciate hearing your thoughts and discussing them with you.

I'm already filing this practice under appeal. Eagles are at a terrible unfair disadvantage.
