Curious if Vincent went up against Hill. He has that kind of speed and quickness and was up with McPhearson.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

Do you honestly think they have a legitimate chance of having the best record ??

What parameters do you assign to "legitimate"?

Can they win 14 games.

Can they win more games than a loaded  Bucs team with the GOAT at QB

Can  they win 14 games?  Yes they can.  Will they?  More often than not, No.

Can they win more than the Bucs?  Again, yes they can.  Will they?  Again, more often than not, No, but I believe the chances of winning more than the Bucs are greater than the chances of winning 14 games .

Poll:

If Dallas called and offered a 2nd for Dillard, would you trade him within the division to your most hated rival?

Yes of course. Who really gives a rats ass if it’s NE or Dallas or Vegas or the Giants.

What we get out of it is what matters

Unbelievable how dumb some teams can be with their Olines. Dallas lost 2 starters to FA, replaced neither and now lost an injury-prone blindside to another injury. Their swing tackle who replaced him last year (Steele) is now having to start on the right side because they’re short starting-quality players. So the new LT will either be the rookie they spent all summer converting to guard, or some third teamer. That’s how they handle their Oline.

Nothing less than two firsts for Dallas.

Not winning this division would be a massive indictment on Hurts/Gannon/Siri.

It's right there for the taking.

Yes, but if that 2nd could turn into a 1st based on playing time.

I’ll play along even though this offer will never happen. I’m probably the biggest Dillard backer here, but even I wouldn’t turn down a second round pick for someone we’re going to lose a year from now anyway, division rival or not, sworn enemy or not. And then I’ll hope like hell that both of our starting tackles stay healthy all year, which I consider a less than fifty-fifty proposition.

You don’t even need to put the language in for that. That 2nd will approach the first round the more he plays

They are soooo screwed. Dak will be running for his life all season.

Looks like Jason Peters gets one more season after all.

Odd. All these posts are backing up the "look how Dallas treats its O-line and has no depth” and in response we’re talking about trading O-line depth.

Dillard stays.

A 2nd would be tough to turn down, real tough.

Now I doubt Dallas would ever trade a 2nd for a 1 year rental but getting a 2nd for a guy who’s not gonna be here next would be a no brainer.

In a heartbeat.

This does 2 things

1) Helps the Eagles in the long-term (as well as trading for a QB if Hurts fails)
2) Prevents Dallas from bottoming out and firing McCarthy. We should be afraid of them hiring Sean Payton.

As long as Jerry Jones is the owner, no coach there is going to scare me.

lol trading Dillard to the Cowboys prevents them from hiring Sean Payton? hmm

Also Sean Payton isnt winning a Superbowl in Dallas. Nothing to be afraid of.

Over a month back I posted that Dallas was going to have a precipitous drop because of the state of their OL. I based that in part on Tyron Smith's ailing back. Now it's even worse. Their OL is Zack Martin and four JAGs, and not very good JAGs at that. Martin aside, our second string OL is better than their first.

Ideally, Dallas plays well enough to not fire McCarthy. That's the best case scenario. It's why I wanted the Giants to win the last few games last year: incentivize them to keep Joe Judge.
