I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

JJAW over DK. My only reasoning is Barnett was at the very least in the right place at the right time to recover Brady’s fumble. Change the player, and we can’t be sure someone else is automatically in the same position to get that ball. Since the JJAW debacle happened after the Super Bowl, taking DK doesn’t possibly risk our only Lombardi.

Sorry for the picture quality.  But that large white dot is Barnett's ass pointing up a you.  He was in the "right place" because he failed horribly on his pass rush.

That said, Barnett was the right choice for that spot in the first round.  JJAW was boutique pick.

Perry Tuttle over Mike Quick. See, sometimes it works in our favor.

mike, help me along.  I have observed most of the posts in here for quite a while.  Give me an example of a conflicting viewpoint backed up by data that you feel that justrelax has ignored.

There has been no shortage of conflicting viewpoints over the past 12 months.  That part of your statement I can agree with 100%.  The part I am at sea with is the "backed up by data" part.  So, please help me along.

mike, the facts request is/was in the post above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Where's the joy in talking about success?

Failure is more fun.

Fair enough, but regardless the reasoning, it still happened. If Barnett isn’t there, it looks like one or two, possibly three Pats linemen could fall on the ball, possibly making the strip sack moot. I still would make the same choice to the question asked.

Enjoying a very Canadian lunch today boys (and gals)!

Interesting to see the different philosophy's across the league. Personally, I think this is insane for them.

Seems like there's a middle ground between not giving a 24 year old developmental QB preseason reps and starting a 45 year old hall of famer in a meaningless game.

What was the more egregious mistake?

JJAW over DK

Barnett over Watt

Barnett was a bad pick.  DK was likely off the Eagles board on a medical red flag.

There were quite a few guys that could have been taken over Barnett -- Jonathan Allen, Marlon Humphrey, etc.

I'm with you.  We don't win the super bowl without having picked Pumphrey.  I wouldn't change a thing.

Just challenging your argument for Barnett.  Which was the right answer, just for different reasons.

Do Canadians eat it right out of the box?

Or do you boil the macaroni like we do here in 'Merica?

WTF are "flavours and colours"?

They were just talking about this on 97.5 like this guy was trying to give Howie credit in comparison.

I don't think he realizes that Cooper also had a massive contract that factored into the trade compensation.

Cooper's base was converted to a bonus and his salary cap hit is like $5 million this year.  I think he has like $46 million more in guarantees after this season.  It's not a terrible deal for a 28 year old receiver.

Cooper was dealt, in part, because of the "black Kirk Cousins" exchange with Dak after last season.

Keenan Allen is a 10th string WR. Fascinating

He's referring to the video on the left. 81 on the cowpokes is Fehoko who has 3 career receptions.

And here's another

Freddie Mitchell over Reggie Wayne, Chad Johnson, and Steve Smith

Watch out for Eagles in trade or cut. They need TE depth.

Believe it or not, they let us have pots here! I'm eating it right from the pot, bowls are for the poors

I actually wanted him at the Barnett pick. Thought he was hands down BPA at the time.

I know but it was a bad trade for the Cowboys.
