Underperform, under impress in camp, and publicly demand a trade.  Sounds consistent with today’s youth.

And he’s afraid of scary Philadelphia!

Lotta starters playing in these games. I figured it would be like the old week 4 games where it's just 3rd/4th stringers or the long shot guys.

Mims for Reagor.

Was it "the little woman who wrote the book that started this great war?”

If so, I did read it many decades ago.

Yes it was her.   The Beechers tended towards preaching (pun intended) extensively.  But there was some significant support towards the education of women in the family.  He father, Lyman, and her husband, Calvin Stowe, are interesting studies on their own.  Harriett Elisabeth wrote much more than just Uncle Tom’s Cabin.  It was followed by The Key to Uncle Tom’s Cabin offered as evidence of the validity of the presentation of the novel.

Interestingly, like many early abolitionists, Rev. Beecher favored colonization, basically the idea to free the slaves and send them back to Africa. Lincoln was a believer in colonization.  Many look historically at abolitionists through modern glasses, but the idea of equality of the races was not a widely held belief by them, including Rev. Beecher.  He also had issues with alcohol, being a strong advocate for temperance. But he also had his issues theologically, participating in the schism in the Presbyterian synod and subjected to trial.

Beecher was also anti-Catholic. (And anti-Atheism and felt Atheism in government was abhorrent.). AntiCatholicism has a long history in the US.  People tend to forget the KKK was opposed to Catholics.  You are old enough to remember that it was thought Kennedy didn’t have a chance to be president because of the long held antiCatholicism beliefs held within members of the Protestant majority.  Still hear the term popeism today. (Funny, the country probably elected a secularist (Jefferson) and a gay (Buchanan) 100 years before a Catholic and now has five Catholic Supreme Court Justices.)  Well there are some that believe Beecher’s sermons on the subject may have led to the burning of a convent.  Understanding Harriett Elisabeth (important to include her middle name because she had a very short lived older sister named Harriett) requires understanding her father.   Most people just heard she wrote a book that was widely circulated in the North and detested in the South.  Maybe a paragraph in a U.S. history text in school.

I actually think Reagor is better than him.

He's a punter, they'll probably ban him for life...if he was a QB 11 games ...

Didn’t they punish Ben relatively early and follow that up with over a year before suspending Zeke?  So inconsistent.   Tape on Rice surfaces and reaction is almost immediate (albeit secondary) but Kamara still playing.

The claim against the punter is a lawsuit.  A he said/she said. After he apparently has made the team, the suit is filed. (Timing seems less than coincidental). No criminal charges. The Bills are stuck with a hard decision.   Now I believe in the legal system with its flaws but the NFL personal conduct process is self governed but doesn’t apply to preNFL conduct. NFL may have its hands tied.

Jerry Hughes has to be 40 years old.

Any Andrew Schulz fans?  Guy does some serious crowd work.  Can be a bit much at times but he's damn good.

Picture quality sucks.

I'm watching on my smart TV with the Prime app and haven't had any issues with the quality.

Same setup. it’s almost like an occasional echo on the field. Comes and goes.

The picture quality for me is great, but I am getting that occasional echo, too.

He’s afraid of Philly. He would probably have a nervous breakdown with the fans.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Ward isn’t making the team. Good riddance.

Being on Prime sucks for anyone who wants to channel surf or go to a College game come regular season.

I think for a lot of teams week three is still week three. Warmup the starters.

I know.  That would be fun to see.

It makes sense to get them some work in as they aren’t playing a game until more than 2 weeks later.

Trey Lance played almost 1.5 quarters tonight, same with Davis Mills.

Getting that work in helps.

SB52 hero Nate Sudfeld is in the game

Kurt Hinish reminds me of the days when the Eagles would find diamond in the rough overachieving UDFA white defensive tackles.

Truck driver didn’t last long.  Grabs wasn’t an UDFA, he was a free agent pickup.
