So you would be happier showing that? Yes, if it's true. Whitewashing history is always a mistake, as is judging people outside the context of their times. "The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there." Though military men who thought gays can't fight simply flunked military history - while the Spartans get all the attention, the Theban "Sacred Band", an infantry corps of 300 lovers, kicked Spartan ass for 40 years until they were decimated by Alexander the Great. Let's also say the Saints give us a top 5 pick. With that top 5 pick, we end up with the QB we want (this is hypothetical, remember) without having to move up at all. With the 20th pick...if he's there, would you consider taking Bijan? I know, generally don't take RBs in the first....but, getting that QB early without using additional assets would open up that 20th pick to BPA basically. I think the team should go BPA but using a 1st round pick on a RB never seems like a good use of resources. It's also not like they don't have needs at CB and Safety. If Bijan is the BPA, I think they should trade back unless there's also a CB or Safety with 1st round value. It's also going to be a deep draft for DE's and they could consider going DE at that pick as a BPA.

Do you know of any good prospects after him? Most of these other guys that are listed look pretty undersized for DE.

There are a lot of awful teams. The Saints could be merely bad and still pick #10.

Not sure who the best DE DT prospects are but I'd think they'd take DL OL DB WR TE in the first before taking a RB. Agreed, D-line. 1st rd RBs are a luxury pick.

But depends what CB, DE, and S is on the board. Would prioritize those positions.
August 26, 20223 yr Fully agree that RB in the first is a bad use of resources, but man do I miss having a stud RB. A high end RB could do so much damage with this OL.
August 26, 20223 yr If you had to rank the importance of coaching in the Big 4, what would it be? And this is all encompassing, so not just the head coach but the whole staff. I'd go, Football BBall Hockey Baseball I think football and bball are 1a and 1b, while hockey and baseball are much further away and close to each other.

I'll take your word, I don't watch college football much, definitely dont watch Texas, just watched a couple highlights and like I said maybe it's the jersey but reminds me of Charles who was really fast. Bijan is a bit bigger but I didn't see a ton of lateral agility from him( jump cuts jukes ect.) He kind of winds around tacklers looks to have really good balance and good stop and start acceleration and top speed reminds me of Charles. Either way I can't see Howie using a 1st on a RB.

August 26, 20223 yr Bijan is that great combination of speed and power. Hes closer to Jonathan Taylor than Jamal Charles.

I'd be shocked if we went DB even. I'd still take Bijan over all of them at 20, in my scenario. Dude's gonna be a monster. Trade down from 20 and pick up a 2024 1st

August 26, 20223 yr Unless the DEs, CBs, and safeties are gone, my problem with taking Bijan in this draft is that there is exceptional value in getting a guy like Sean Tucker, or Jahmyr Gibbs just a little after him. You also have the battering ram Chris Rodriguez. And Tank Bigsby. Its a good RB draft. Last years was full of tons of powerful runners. But this years has better all around talent. Its a pretty nice class.

On the flip side Tony Hunt and Ryan Moats were both 3rd rounders🤷♂️
