Penning from New Orleans got rolled by his own TE. He walked to the tent and then took a cart to the locker room with his shoe off.

His teammate probably did it on purpose

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

What I don’t get is how he cracked his knee on a noncontact injury? Maybe the Hamstring tearing was THAT severe

I will admit that I had the thought that the play was basically over (no one over there could affect the 1 yard plunge to the right) so he got hurt on someone "Finishing their block"

No targets for JJAW yet. Not even sure has has been on the field. They must be saving him for the regular season.

He’s basically a rookie

Re-watching the 11 minute highlights of the Eagles @ Falcons week 1 of last year, I think that is what the Detroit game is going to be like too.  Close 1st half before the Eagles really blow it open in the second half.

Also hell of a TD drive by Hurts with a 1:44 seconds left in the 2nd half starting on their 37.

Oh goodness gracious, the Jalen slobbing some of these folks do.  More like if McNabb had AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins instead of Todd Pinkston, Freddy Mitchell and Reggie Brown.

Goedert instead of LJ Smith

I remember how excited some people were after this game. Then Hurts showed what he’s always been the rest of the year. A QB who makes more plays with his legs than his arm.

I cried when Old Yeller was put down.

Hell yeah. My mom took me to see that in the theater when I was in kindergarten. I was lucky in that I was a youngest child, so my older sisters were all in school and I got to spend a half day being the only one home. I think she bought us some candy and we went to an early showing. Five year old me definitely cried at the end.

So what’s the deal with Aaron Donald?  All I see is that the Rams will discipline him internally.  What kind of hot garbage is that?

I'd imagine them acting like Stewart's mom.  Such harsh discipline.

Personal Conduct Policy. There should be no practice loophole for that. He attacked a crowd of human beings with a weapon and it was on video.

He does that at a casino, at a youth football game, in a mall, or when surrounded by other NFL employees, its all the same. (maybe worse attacking coworkers)

He should get 6 games.

Here's the thing with terrible McNabb comparisons. He peaked at about start number 22 and never got any better.

For a WCO QB to hit a ceiling at about 59% completions is insanity. (He pushed that to about 60.2 in his 30s)

That almost never happens. Its takes a certain amount of laziness, and bad attitude, and help I'm being repressed by the Philly peasants mentality to pull that off.

If Hurts peaked last year then we are all in for it. Lets find out this year before he gets paid.

If he's not another McNabb then he could turn into a really good player.

(Don't give me 2004 when he instantly went to war in 2005 with the only reason he got to 64% that year)

No player in Philly history got a more fitting send off than back to back Cowboys playoff games in weeks 17 and Wildcard with a total of 7 points.

Oh wow, Jalen Hurts wasn't a finished product in his second season and first season starting.  He has accumulated 2 years experience and far more playoff snaps than Wentz for his career and he's still younger than Wentz was when he made his first career start.  Jalen Hurts is going to improve and we are about to witness it.  Enjoy.

When McNabb was garbage 6-8 times a year, the Eagles often found a way to win 3 or 4 of those games.

Most of what I’m taking from your post, other than a healthy dislike for McNabb, is the acquisition of a true WR1 resulted in a bump of 5% in QB accuracy.

If AJ Brown can get Hurts up to a 66% passer that’s half the battle.  The other half would be for Nick to do what Andy did for McNabb — develop a running college QB into a distributor of the football by cutting his run frequency in half.

Josh Allen through 19 starts:

56.8% 3653 yards passing 20 TDs 19 picks  74.9 rating 852 yards rushing 12 TDs.

This does not mean Hurts is any good or will be any good. It means let him actually play some games first to figure out who he is.

A true #1, you mean one of the 5 best WRs in NFL history who poor Mr. Sensitive could not stand for more than about 20 games? that guy?

McNabb was an anchor.

He finished his Eagles career with 5 straight playoff games with 2+ turnovers. He was crap.

Jalen Hurts could have a successful 10 year Eagles McNabian career where he is good sometimes and bad sometimes on a very good team.

I have zero interest in that.

Andy Reid and Alex Smith in 2014 (year 2 with Andy and Alex in KC)

ZERO TDs to WRs. He still hit 65.3%

You don't need a bunch of great players to be able to throw a ball where its supposed to go.

Andy did not end McNabb''s running career. Rush Limbaugh and McNabb did that. He ran for 38.4 ypg in 51 starts before Limbaugh (including 153 in the first 3 weeks of 2003) and he ran for 200 total in the next 13 games. So now he was an inefficient passing QB who stopped using one of his best abilities to create on broken plays with scrambles or runs.

( I don't care about his 2004 (he did not need to run) or 2005 (sports hernia due to cheap shot on opening night) rushing totals.)

He still had some horrible passing games after that in 2003. What he did not do is face the Bucs D or Patriots D at all after week 2. That is what changed.

After that moment in 2003 he was great vs DC (124.7) and bad vs DC (51.7). He was great vs Dallas (105) and bad vs Dallas (70.4).  He was great vs the Giants (132.5) and bad vs the Giants(29.1). Same weirdo, same teams. He was always just McNabb. They did not win with his distribution of the football. They won with the 3-headed-monster (27 TDs) at RB and their D.

This was not Foles getting sacked 5 times in the first half vs Jax in 2014 and then getting sacked only 4 times in the next 28 quarters. This was McNabb letting Limbaugh affect him and make him a lesser QB going forward.

Sorry, those 2003 RBs had 29 TDs. I forgot Westbrook's 2 returns in the total.

The distributer of the football had 19.
