They did. The Nazzzzi were just too much. The blitzkreig was something else.

Yeah I suppose.  The NSDAPs had an army of soldiers flying high on meth. Hard to counter that

There was a huge difference in technological capabilities between Germany and the countries around it.  Also, the two fastest growing economies in the second half of the 1800s were the U.S. and Germany.  Both became industrialized powerhouses in a matter of decades.

I did not know the polish people were armed to defend actually.  I like to think I’m pretty up to speed on the major events of ww2 and for some reason I was never Privy to that.  I do realize their army still was heavy reliant on horse.  Which is pretty pointless va tanks with sprung meth head behind the wheel.

Only one side had tanks and machine guns I believe.  So yeah. A pretty one-sided fight overall.

If you want some interesting reading look up France’s Maginot Line.

What happens if Neville Chamberlain doesn’t exist and FDR doesn’t prioritize his poll numbers in the late 1930’s?

The "America First” folks running against FDR in the 1940 election (like Charles Lindbergh) were isolationists.

FDR’s opponent in 1940 was an interventionist.

Even if he wasn’t, which he was, my original point still stands. FDR’s only late 30’s concern was his poll numbers.

FDR is the liberal version of the conservative’s Ronald Reagan. How many awful things must be overlooked to create an icon?

They were a bit more than just isolationists...

Um, yeah, if I were in a bomb shelter during a pandemic, it would definitely make sense to mask and distance as much as humanly possible. But sure, let's laugh because durrrrrrrr lubruls!

What's broken ishlibs more?  COVID or Biden's historically disastrous presidency?

Really struggling with basic logic today, I see

Any chance this quote wasn't on Eaglesrocker's Facebook page at some point?

I've actually been thinking about when I'll drop the mask. My locality is currently only in "Medium," so CDC says I'm in the clear. I'll probably keep masking at least a few weeks more, though, to see where the numbers go as flu season wanes. If they stay low, I think I'll be ready to test the maskless waters.

I'm just picturing @EaglesRocker97 doing the walk of shame back to his car from the fallout shelter door amidst the sounds of nuclear bomb sirens because he forgot his mask.

Nah, at that point, F it, but if I'm gonna be locked in a box with who-knows-who for god-knows-how-long and all manner of pathogens potentially circulating a confined space, I'd prefer to have one on me, among an array of sanitary items.

Why stop? You've come this far and one just never knows now does one?
