Summer of love, coming soon to a city near you!

Times like these make me glad I’m off the road. I was in St. Louis during the Ferguson riots.  That was comforting. (These days I’m supposed to be in Minnesota <_<)

Stayed about 4-5 blocks from the mayors office.  Oddly didn’t see a single march to protest there.

they got lost. Someone told them the mayor's downtown office was in a gated community so naturally they destroyed the gate and walked on people's grass...you know...to get to the mayor's office downtown.

"domestic terrorists."

Get a grip. They were Americans exercising their right to petition the government for redress of grievances, passing through on the way to the mayor's office.

They weren't rioting. They weren't aggressive. They weren't threatening. They were literally walking down the street past these homes.

I understand the homeowners not wanting to take chances and being on alert. But pointing a gun at them? Really? You're defending that?

If this was a bunch of right wing protesters marching on the Gov. of Minnesota and some liberal started waving a gun at them as they passed by, and the protesters opened fire on the guy, you'd have half this board defending the protesters on "stand your ground" principles.

Jesus man, get some principles.

They broke down a gate to invade the property, then threatened the property owners lives. Yeah, using threats and intimidation for political ends, they’re terrorists. No one here is surprised that you excuse it though.

According to police, "The group began yelling obscenities and threats of harm to both victims. When the victims observed multiple subjects who were armed, they then armed themselves and contacted police.”

That incident went viral, with a video of the occurrence earning over 10 million views.

Now the police are "labeling it as a case of trespassing and fourth-degree assault by intimidation” according to St. Louis Today.

I have. I cannot say I know it well, but I have visited multiple times for business and pleasure.

That is completely wrong. It is not where the house is. The house is on Portland place. The image you posted earlier was correct.

Portland place is a couple blocks north of Forest Park. Walk east a little over 4 miles and you're at the mayor's.

Have you guys ever walked in any kind of March? For Church, March for science, anything? You walk through neighborhoods. The point is to get your message heard.

They were CLEARLY going to the mayors office. Why would they be in the burbs.  There have been no threats made to folks in the burbs

She doxxed protesters and that’s why they were going to her house I thought.  Not her office.

Well now I know you're lying

I was just in St. Louis in September.  This is from Forest Park towards downtown.

1) Ugh, Why?   (No where near as muggy as it gets in July, so you had that going for ya)

2) I don’t know that area. I stayed at the Renaissance one year and Hilton by the ball park for two years, so I was much closer to the arch and I worked across the river In Missouri

But aren’t you from Chester county?  I’m surprised you all went there.  We’re all the good spots in DelCo rented out?

And while I’m s***ing all over St. Louis, gooey butter cake is just a gross diabetes delivery system and fried ravioli is probably the most white trash food a city is "known for”.

Great baseball town tho

Well, I’m not going to tell my life story.  But yes I’m from Chester County.  And I did go to Owen J. Roberts HS for one year.  But I also graduated from a high school in StL

Ah.  Say no more.  I thought it was a destination reunion.

It is too humid.  But I live in Houston now.  It’s like St. Louis humidity times 10 here.

Minneapolis sounds wonderful.

Closest I have ever been to outdoors in Houston is a jet bridge in IAH. (Miles run to Miami if I remember correctly) That was hell, I can’t imagine what it’s really like.

I’ve only been there between November and March.  It’s cold as hell and gray.  Between that and that stupid accent I wanted to blow my brains out

They claim the summers are lovely, so I’ll have to take their word for it
