In the end, I think he’s a good coach but not as great as people act like he is. 9-8 in the playoffs isn’t particularly impressive when he had Drew Brees the majority of his coaching career. There are other coaches I'd hire before going to Payton

He'll be fired next year

The firing of Lovie Smith on the surface appears to be retaliatory for beating the Colts and costing the Texans the #1 pick. I remember many Jets fans in 2020 wanting management to tell the players to lose every game on purpose and go 0-16 just to get Trevor Lawrence.

Lol this entire time I've been blaming Staley for the playcalling on offense The defense hasn't exactly been stellar though. So not sure what's keeping him there still

Chargers probably just want anyone that will get them in the playoffs at this point. Funny thing is they keep letting their offensive coordinators go and then the eagles scoop them up and they win super bowls with them lol. Maybe they should look in house

No. It was speculated he was on his way out before that game was played. Lovie didn’t care about winning the game screwing up their draft because he knew he was on the outs anyway. Your premise is completely backwards.
January 26, 20232 yr Well didn’t take long for Reich to land a job. Some risk here that maybe he looks to Kevin Patullo to be his OC given previous experience working together and success of Philly offence
January 26, 20232 yr Hmmm I thought that the interim HC for the Panthers earned that job. Interesting that they went with Reich, IMO.
