The Green Bay is playing they’re just as up and down as some of these other teams. They went to overtime with the Pats who didn’t even have their quarterback.

Heck, the Pats were down to their 3rd string QB.

I don’t think there’s as many elite level teams in the NFL as in the past especially in the NFC. As Eagles fans we are naturally skeptical of our team. We feel like it’s more likely the other team is bad rather than our team is just good. For me this season we feel like the good team.

Not yet.

This here.

If we're 6-0 going into the Bye, then I'll get excited.  For now, I'm sticking with "pretty happy" and also "cautiously optimistic."

(Even 5-1 would have me feeling pretty good, but we need to beat Dallas.)

This, absolutely. There aren't any NFC teams that worry me. We dealt with the Vikings handily, and they were well fancied. Dallas? Frauds. GB? Rodgers can win some games, but nah, weak roster. Bucs, Niners vulnerable. Rams maybe, they have a good balance and you don't want to F around with that defense. Homerism aside, I can see the Eagles starting out 11-0 before running into the Titans. Last time I saw the Eagles play the Titans, I met a friend in a casino in London to watch (he's a Titans fan). We lost in overtime, but I then got drunk and won about $1500 on blackjack, so maybe there is some mojo.

I can potentially see a weird loss against the Saints in week 17, because it would be a very Eagles game to lose, especially if there is a top three pick on the line. Other than that, I feel ridiculously confident. And maybe a bit drunk (it's late here, don't judge me)

Great points, I agree 100%. It's very balanced in the NFC. In the AFC, it was NE forever and lately it's now KC.

In the 2017 season, I didn't get excited or think our Birds were good until they went to Carolina on a short week and won that game. Then they fed off that win and started to just boat race and wallop teams. Man, that was a fun Football season. :LII:

it felt like a relatively easy win.

You're not taking into account Doug's play calling in light of the weather, with a better called game by Doug the outcome more than likely would have been a pick 'em.

No, I am - Siri gets it on all levels, just like Doug in his pomp. It's going to be beautiful

Let's get excited! The Eagles are playing well! :towel::crazy: :Eagle_smiley:

They have been fortunate on the injury front, but they took some bumps on Sunday. Let's see what they look like starting backups at Offensive Line or Secondary.

His play calling was fine. The execution wasn't. If Lawrence didn't overthrow a WR who was open on a deep ball, or fumble 4 times, Jax more than likely wins that game.

And you don't think the weather had anything to do with Lawrence overthrowing a WR who was open on a deep ball and fumbling 4 times?

A better gameplan by Doug limiting the number of drop back by the QB would have limited the number of mishaps.

Again, that's nothing to do with the playcall, and everything to do with the execution.  Hurts had more pass attempts than Lawrence, so the gameplan wasn't the issue.

I can't allow myself to be excited at this point, it would open myself to attacks from enemy Cowboys and Giants fans if they beat us

once we beat them though, it's on

I remember a Big Red game where he passed 4 billion times during a monsoon. Apple doesn't fall far

Yeah that's absolutely one thing Sirriani has on that tree. He will run.  In 2017 Blount basically had to drag Doug kicking and screaming into running in the Chargers game

I've been pretty optimistic since the week 2 win. The acquisitions have been positive, Hurts has taken steps forward and the rest of the conference looks like a dumpster fire. The Cards always worry me, it feels like the Eagles always stink when they play them.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Cowboys might be their biggest threat.

You think 77 plays vs 46 plays had anything to do with the highlighted?

Put another way, the Jags dropped back 50% of the time vs 32% for the Eagles.

I'm thinking Dough shouldn't have dropped back 50% of the time in that weather.

Arizona Cardinals lost in week 1 to the Chiefs at home 44-21.

In week 2 the Cardinals defeated the Raiders on the road in Overtime by the score of 29 to 23.

In week 3 the Cardinals lost to the Super Bowl Champions last season, The Rams 20-12 at home.

Last week the Cardinals defeated the Carolina Panthers 26 to 16 on the road.

Arizona Cardinals are 2-2 but the two loses were against the Chiefs & Rams.

Cardinals are 17th in passing, and 15th in rushing (middle of the pack), 23rd against the pass, and 5th against the run!

(However Jaguars were the best against the run until they played against the Eagles)!

The Eagles are 8th in passing, and 5th in rushing.  Eagles are 9th against the Run, and 7th against the Pass!

Jalen Hurts is 5th in passing yards (99.6 QB Rating) in the NFL and 53 attempted runs for 205 yards and 4 rushing Touchdowns.

Kyler Murray is 15th in passing yards (85.2 rating) and 24 rush attempts for 91 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

Rumor has it that at one point the Eagles thought about acquiring Kyler to replace Jalen at QB.

Of course people might consider TE Zach Ertz a revenge game but he loved Philadelphia and Eagles fans love him, they realize it was about money and don't blame

the TE for getting the most money he could in that situation. Could the Jalen Hurts vs Kyler be more of a revenge game for Jalen? I think Jalen Hurts will have a huge game.

In case the Eagles play against the Buffalo Bills in this year's Super Bowl

Fun fact the Buffalo Bills went to the Super Bowl three times in a row (1990-1993) and lost all 3 only NFL team to ever go to 3 super bowls back to back and lose all 3.

The 3 teams they lost to NY Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys.
