One of the reasons I'm considering switching to mail-in voting is that when my wife voted she could take her time and actually understand who she was voting for without being harassed.

I still vote in person, but being able to have your laptop open while filling out the ballot without cross referencing your phone seems really nice.

Very good point. When I head over today, I'm just making no qualms about it and just telling them "I don't vote for republicans anymore. Doesn't matter what you say, I'm not doing it so save your breath".

I guess there's some ballot measure to extend terms for judges? My wife said republicans were harassing her to vote yes on it (from inside the polls which I thought was illegal). If the republicans are for it, I'll vote no.

Inside the polls is illegal. The electioneering law in PA is 10 ft. from the polling place. Pennsylvania 25 Pa. Stat. § 3060. Which is pretty lenient if you ask me.

gonna be interesting to see what happens in pennsbury ...this school board situation has gotten insane.

Districts whose maps include lower middle class blue collar workers and upper middle class professional neighborhoods are feeling really close to the culture war front lines right now.

Pennsbury, Neshaminy, and CBSD come to mind around here.

just voted against every repug....it felt great!

Mom is now a school board member. All the democrats lost.

Some real critical thinking there…

Not really much of a decrease. Homicide, shootings, robbery with a gun and property crime are all up.  Regular robbery, theft and assualt are down but let's not forget 2020 had the riots.

If you guys are afraid to go down to Philly then don’t go

Pretty simple

dems mostly got crushed though. repugs even got that deplorable judge on the pa supreme court.

gotta hand it to the repugs.... they're good at manufacturing enough outrage to motivate their eternally angry base to show up at election time.  dems seem to need some sort of a cause to rally around for them to show up at the polls. that's why they normally get smoked in local & state elections.

Generally, dems have the dumbest and laziest voting base, so it's not surprising they only show up for the big elections. Which is obviously why dems are desperately pursuing "voting rights" bills that make it easier for the dumbest and laziest people of society to vote.

Republicans always show up and vote. Look how enthusiastic they still are about Trump a year later too.

I'm not afraid to go down there.  I enjoy a night out in the city and sporting events, but have no desire to live there.  Taxes there suck and I like to have space away from other people.

I was just pointing out that crime is not really down much from the prior year to date and the gun related incidences are actually up.  That's all.  Thought he may have been looking at the wrong column.

Noticing rising murder rates that are directly related to his Krasner's position means you are scared of the city.

I don't actually give a sh** about Krasner, but I thought the stats were interestingly contradictory to the picture people paint.

Because it was a crime-free paradise before, right?  Ever looked at crime rates there in the 1970s?

I really don't know about him, nor do I care either.  I think a lot of the focus right now on the city is the amount of gun violence.  And that is in fact a major problem right now in the city.  Watch the local news and residents are getting fed up with it as they should be.  Not sure what the answer to problem is, since it's kids and young adults mowing each and innocent bystanders down with most likely illegally obtained firearms.  You couldn't pay me enough to be a police officer in Philadelphia.
