No silly is pretending its just Trump

Trump is a symptom. Which is why half the time I call them Trumplicans, because you can't separate it now.

What's silly is pretending Trump supporters don't own the party at this point.

what do the dems offer me as a voter who believes in individualism, smaller less powerful govt and despises the welfare state? Ill wait…

The republicans around here ran on doing away with measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines. So yeah not much appealing there.

you should watch some videos of school board meetings in affluent suburban districts out here.

Trumplicans with a little money is a bad combination.

I could have a lot of fun countering that statement picturally but that's really picking at low hanging fruit.

House Passes Bill to Allow Permitless Concealed Gun Carry in Pa.

Supporters said getting concealed carry permits under current law can be subject to the whims of county sheriffs and that concealed carry permit holders can forget when their licenses expire and therefore unknowingly violate the law.

Those are awesome reasons.

Well I never forget to renew my medical card.  You'd think that would be easier to forget given the substance involved rather than a concealed carry permit.  Of course it doesn't carry the same penalty as getting caught with a little weed.

Yeah, I keep renewing licenses, registrations, etc, year after year. I wonder if I can use, "I forgot to renew it" next time an official asks?

Yes, they are. You ought to be denied concealed carry if:

  • Sherriff deems you are unfit.
  • Too careless to let permit expire.

Gov. Wolf will veto. So is this just a political ploy by Republicans?

so, dougherty and henon.

Dr. Oz will run for Pennsylvania’s open Senate seat as a Republican

Celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz will run for Senate as a Republican in Pennsylvania next year, adding intrigue to one of the races that will determine control of the chamber.

A grifter on TV?  Yep, he's a Republican.

So no one was running for inspector of elections, so I wrote myself in. I am currently tied with 10 other people who did the same thing. Apparently they draw lots to determine who will be elected tomorrow. Fear not Trumpbots, should I land the gig Ill make sure to make sure no funny business goes on in Trump Vs. Biden round 2.

You're already under surveillance. 😂

Do ishlibs ever feel guilty that their cult is responsible for this, or nah? Do they ever reflect and say "maybe we are the bad guys?"

In the neverending stream of Republican ironies, the same people who support this measure will then blame Democrats for increased gun violence.

Ok who is voting for Dr Oz??

There is a whole thread about how Dems are "shitting their pants" over Dr Oz entering the race. So there's at least one or two in here.

That makes no sense whatsoever.  Republicans cannot prevent you or your kids from getting vaccinated.

The difference between vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella from those for Covid is that the former actually PREVENT infection and transmission.

I doubt he'll win the primary.

No they don't you absolute Fing dumbell

They are using the term "prevent" to mean it prevents a portion of people from dying, infection and spreading measles mumps and rubella.  If you want to use that term then the COVID vaccine absolutely "prevents" death infection and transmission.

This article does not however comment on the effectiveness of the MMR vaccine, which is what you are insinuating in your post.

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/mmr/public/index.html

How Well Does the MMR Vaccine Work?

MMR vaccine is very effective at protecting people against measles, mumps, and rubella, and preventing the complications caused by these diseases. People who receive MMR vaccination according to the U.S. vaccination schedule are usually considered protected for life against measles and rubella. While MMR provides effective protection against mumps for most people, immunity against mumps may decrease over time and some people may no longer be protected against mumps later in life. An additional dose may be needed if you are at risk because of a mumps outbreak.

One dose of MMR vaccine is 93% effective against measles, 78% effective against mumps, and 97% effective against rubella.

Two doses of MMR vaccine are 97% effective against measles and 88% effective against mumps.

They work in no small part due to the fact that most of the non-idiotic world is vaccinated for Measles Mumps and Rubella and those residual 3%, 12% and 3% risk is mitigated by herd immunity.

I’ve had the measles and it packs a punch.  It’s worse than the flu (which I’ve had several times).
