I’m more in favor of keeping Bohm til the deadline when they bring up miller. Then use Bohm at the deadline to bring back either a BP or prospects. I think the smarter decision would be signing Alonso or Tucker then when miller is ready in June/July trade Bohm. That said bichette’s 2024 was awful it’s why Bohm’s numbers are better last two years. Bichette was good in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025. He was better all those years than Bohm in avg, OBP, slugging and ops and usually HRs too

Add on in 2025 bichette was significantly better before he got hurt was on pace for a career year besides his HR total. Defensively bichette played shortstop so hard to know if his defense would improve switching to third.

2021: .298/.343/.484/.828 29 HRs and 102 RBI

2022: .290/.333/.469/.802 24 HRs and 93 rbi

2023: .306/.339/.475/.814 20 hrs and 73 rbi (135 games)

2024: .225/.277/.322/.598 4 hrs and 31 rbi (81 games)

2025: .311/.357/.483/.840 18 HRs and 94 rbi (139 games)

Bohm since 2021:

2021: .247/.305/.342/.647 7 HRs and 47 rbi (115 games)

2022: .280/.315/.398/ .713 13 HR and 72 rbi

2023: .274/.327/.437/.765 20 HR 97 rbi

2024: .280/.322/.448/.779 15 hr and 97 rbi

2025: .287/.331/.409/.741 11 hrs and 59 rbi (120 games)

I’d also trade marsh now when he has 2 controllable years left and off a good year. Cash in when another team still believes they can fix his left handed pitching issue.

Bichette has something Bohm doesn't have and that's speed. So I'd take that into consideration.

Should’ve went with a righty. Raleigh’s numbers (still good) aren’t as good vs. RHP on the season. Postseason he’s been awful vs. LHP but eventually that was going to flip. However little has been arguably their best RP all year.

Schneider is an idiot

Yup Phillies were the second best team and likely the only team that had the pitching to actually beat the dodgers.

I guess the Phillies get just a sliver of credit for being the only team to beat the Dodgers in a playoff game at all this fall.

People said the Dodgers were built for the playoffs, and that is certainly true.

What date and time are the parade?

Dave Roberts is an idiot for saying let’s go win 4 more and really ruin the sport. I’d be willing to bet a lot of owners will want to stick it to them when that lockout hits for being arrogant and airing that out there

I’m for no cap and spending money to build the team. However the dodgers attitude about what they did is laughable. The BS using deferred money in a way it was never intended and just abused something that was made to help smaller markets keep a star. Never a system that was made to defer over 600+ mil so could circumvent a way to keep adding but not be fully dinged at the time. Imo the dodgers arrogance is going to be the reason the new cba is written the way it is as other owners are going to clap back. But by then they probably don’t care as they’ll have 2 maybe 3 more titles

I find it really funny. The Dodgers are talking, the only World Series they had before they got Ohtani and deferring all this money so they can sign a whole bunch of players was the one in 2020. Because they weren’t deferring money to duck more taxes so they can continuously sign guys every offseason. Dave Roberts continuously made mistakes. Roberts still makes mistakes but he’s able to get away with it because his team is so far more talented than most of these teams.

I see a lot of Dodgers fans are like oh your owner can do that. No owner is getting paid the TV contract they are or LA market. the rest of the owners understand what the deferment was set up and intended for. They are not abusing that system to gain an advantage.

I’ve said this before the lockout is going to change the rules on that deferment. And the Dodgers are likely going to be the team that has to pay the piper for egregiously abusing it. Granted, I think in their mind if they win two or three World Series it’s worth it to them.

Watch this....the Dodgers win a bunch of World Series, file bankruptcy and don't pay the players....now that would be friggin' hysterical!!

Would be funny but not happening. I think selling the team down the road depending on how much deferred money they rack up makes it much more challenging. That said they might not sell but at some point guys get older and era passes. Going to be paying 200 mil in past decisions on deferments plus trying to a roster together of 300+ mil plus luxury taxes seems like eventually it’ll blow up in their face

Meanwhile the Phillies won’t

it's just what phillies front office and ownership is soft and that's why good players wont come here, dodgers are on organization that's not afraid to make changes and willing to do anything to be better and not say yeah i like our team/failures and never make the world series. if the middleton actually wants the trophy like he says he wants, he fire everyone, bring in better quality people, get rid of bad contracts and go after more talent and not throw in the towel when you cant the dodgers.

I don’t think it’s players don’t want to come here. They got Turner to come here. Got Bryce. Got schwarber. The issue is Middleton doesn’t want to spend anymore money. Which frankly there’s part of me that doesn’t blame him. He spent $307 mil last year on the roster. Which of that $307 mil he had about $95 mil that was overpaid: Walker ($18mil), Nola (24.5 mil), Castellanos ($20 mil), Romano ($10 mil), Kepler ($10 mil), Alvarado ($7.33 mil) and Ross ($4 mil). Thats basically a 1/3 of their roster he dished out to bad contracts done by Dombrowski. At some point you don’t want to keep dishing out that amount of money when you are basically paying a luxury tax and it’s not actually helping to improve the teams chances in the playoffs. Imo the bigger issue is likely Middleton doesn’t want to dish out 40-50 more mil to be at $350 mil payroll knowing if he does it might just be 40-50 mil poorly spent

So different watching the jays they don't chase sheet

That winning pitcher from the Blue Jays went to Boyertown HS. Trey Yesavage

Drafted last year and went from Low-A ball to pitching in the postseason this year. That never happens with the Phillies.

GAME 7! but then have to get the Dodgers play by play guy in the World series, does not seem right
