Ricky Ricardo who does the Spanish announcing for the Yankees and works at WIP has been saying for months that he’s hearing the universal DH is gonna happen in 2022. So they’d move hoskins to DH and bohm to first.

If that’s the case, that would solve a lot of problems. Bryant would be a great addition to the line up.

As much as I’d like to get Bryant i really think the Phillies need to go out and get another big time pitcher. You have wheeler but after him gibson is having a career year. He could revert back to what he’s been before this year. Eflin is a solid 4 starter. Nola has been up and down this year and really been closer to a no 3 then a no. 2 or ace over the last 2 years. Not sure who they go after cause there’s some quality arms available. If syndergaard showed he was back from his injury he’d be the big name on the market. Since it’s possible he doesn’t it’s not a huge market for pitchers 31 and younger.

I understand it will eventually happen. However, what it does, it will be the worst thing that happened in sports in my lifetime. There is nothing more boring than AL baseball.

I prefer the pitcher hitting but it actually helps the Phillies short and long term. Eventually harper isn’t going to be able to play the field at the end of his contract. At that point they can still use his bat and DH him. It helps short term cause bohm and hoskins suck in the field so you only have to play one in the field at 1b

I keep seeing MVP stuff and I’m like ok, he’s had a couple good weeks, but he missed 20 games earlier in the season.  Now if he keeps up the .600 OBP that he’s had recently then maybe he does win.

I don’t know what wheeler’s mvp odds were but if Tatis and degrom dont come back i got to imagine he’s in the convo for it. I’d argue as great as harper has been wheeler has been great all year

I believe he would have to be added to the roster prior to 9/1 in order to be eligible for the postseason. I would love to see it. Hopefully he doesn't have any setbacks.

You’d hope, provided no set backs, he would be stretched out enough in the next three weeks to rejoin the pen.

Would’ve been nice if scherzer faced the Braves or Mets 4 times and not one combined. We’ve faced him 4 times.

Good news bad news situation with the delay. Likely don’t see scherzer if it’s a long delay but also lose nola who’s pitched really well tonight.
