You saw what good scouting does, the philly’s were able to draft and develop Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Carlos Ruiz, call Hamels, even when they got Shane Victorino in Jayson Werth they were able to develop them when other teams or other situations that happened to him they weren’t able to get to their maximum. The reason why the Phillies have just fallen off the face of the planet and could barely get to 500 now is because the farm system has not been dominant or even very good since like the early 2000s. Like name one all star level player the farm has produced since 2005? Possibly bohm and howard but they aren’t locks.
