Maldonado is nearly a pitcher in the lineup.

Feels like it’s gonna be a loss cause nola can’t put anyone away since the Alvarez walk.

Well that was a tough first pass through the lineup for Verlander.

Bats completely hapless. Verlander is on cruise control. Veteran pitcher toying with them.

Tbh the Astros seeing nola the last time we faced them likely didn’t help him in this game.

alvarez was definitely out at first. But Peña moving to third and if scores to make it 3-0 feels like it’s pretty much a ton to have to overcome.

Unfortunately he does this too. He often pitches like an ace, but this is why he isn’t. 

With Houston’s pitching, this might already be out of reach.

Curious to see how they respond. Cause i actually think Valdez has better stuff than verlander at this stage of his career. 5 runs may likely be too much to overcome. So I’d just try to see if we could get the offense going a little. Let nola just go til he gets to 100 pitches to save the pen. Then go brogdon and nelson if it’s not close when you pull nola 

Nola clearly didn’t have it. Couldn’t hit first pitch strikes and wouldn’t challenge hitters with fastballs up high.

cant win a world series this way, nola isnt hamels, hamels was the better pitcher in the regular and post season.
