Idk usually when i feel like when the Phillies completely break my spirit and i expect them to just collapse and fold they find a way to suck me right back in. Kind of like yesterday i began to believe in the possibility they could actually pull this off, they found a way to crush any faith i had in them winning this series. 

Game 5 of the World Series at home with a chance to go up 3-2, with Wheeler and Suarez slated to go games 6 and 7. Can't ask for much more than that I think.

 

Knew Houston would be tough, it's going to continue to be a battle.

Kinda lost a little respect for Nola.  I'd be pissed if got pulled with the bases loaded and 0-0.  Shoulda let him pitch that inning through.  But what do I know?  Hell of a time for the bats to go cold.  A no hitter.  Are you f'ng kidding me?  Hungover and late to work today.  Like pulling teeth, just get it over with already! 

Still have little hope, cause you have to.  Anything can happen.  Team was just too high on that game 3 win.  I'm betting you'll see them fighting for it tonight.

Dude Javier has allowed a total of 7 hits in his last 6 starts. Even if you take out last night, he had given up 7 hits over 5 starts. 
 

Seriously. The dude is averaging fewer than two hits per game. The bats didn’t go cold, they just ran into a pitcher that has been basically un-hittable for the past month. 

Tonight is clearly a trap game.

Exactly, I realize Nola sucked but it didn't matter how he pitched, he could of given up nothing and we still most likely lose that game. 

Ok NOW I really don't understand Baseball!

The Astros Manager takes out that pitcher who is just mowing Phillies batter down, but, he doesn't take out the Game 1 pitcher or the Game 3 pitcher who basically imploded!??!?!

Yep, but this time is different. They have always been over matched against Houston and now they are screwed. They are losing tonight and couldn't hit the game 6 starter either. Last night was a must win and they didn't come close even at home. It really sucks because they gave us hope like you said.

What's more infuriating is that team stole a World Series and were allowed to keep their roster and minor league system intact. Rose was banned from baseball for LIFE and they got off so easy. Every international contract should have been voided, roster players involved banned for life, and no draft picks for ten years. Honestly, a post season ban for 5 years as well, but instead they are hypocritical banning Rose for life because nothing is greater than the integrity of the game...but stealing a championship is fine.

Tonight is the real test.  

So nola was on the mound both times the Phillies were no hit this year. If you want any hope the Phillies won the very next game after being no hit…. It was one of the few times they beat the Mets 

The analogy I am using is Roshambo (not the rock paper scissors version)

Its like Rocky said about getting hit and moving forward.

 

I think the way this thing is going it will wrap up with a game 7 of Ranger vs 3 days rest Javier.

 

Tonight is going to be weird but a good weird in that Stadium in Houston (I'll be in the end zone)

 

 

The thing that was irritating for me was that the offense didn't make any adjustments. 1 time through the order, they should have known this guy had nasty stuff and instead of swinging for the fences, how about shortening your swing to make contact? Isn't that the job of the hitting coach? How about Thomson having the bottom of the order with Segura, Stott, and Marsh drop some bunts down just to see if that throws Javier off his game a little? Heck, have Harper try to drop down a bunt. He's done it before. Maybe you get lucky and the Astros throw a ball away while fielding for a 1 or 2 base error.
