You’d need the guardians to fall out of playoff contention at the deadline in order to make that move. I think more realistic next year Bieber is dealt before the year with 1 year left of arbitration as compared to now.
November 6, 20223 yr Hopefully with a few changes, the Phillies can repeat what the Royals did in 2014/15. Lose the World Series then come back the next year and win it. The right changes have to be made though and it would be nice to win the division instead of getting in as the wild card. I get the Braves will still be good but hopefully the Mets will revert back to their sucky ways. Get everyone some extra rest by winning the division, or at worst, grab that 1st wild card. Granted, the 3rd wild card route worked out this year but that isn't a recipe I would want them to keep following. I heard that the Astros played 5 fewer games prior to the World Series than the Phillies did. That's a lot more rest for their pitchers than ours got.

If so, see if they can trade Hoskins for Bieber. Lol..

I think hoskins helps their hitting which they need. I think the real value would be McGarry and Abel if that’s who you included. They aren’t going to spend the big money that Bieber is gonna ask for when he gets to FA. I doubt Bieber takes a hometown discount. So it’s a matter of when they want to trade him. I’m guessing they try to win the AL central again and then at the deadline see where they are. If competing then next offseason make a decision.

A surprise team could be the dbacks if they figure out their bullpen. Kelley is a solid no. 2 and gallen is an ace. Davies and the rest of their young starters are gonna be better. Their bullpen is atrocious. If they figure that out they could make a jump. Really don’t see teams like the marlins, nats, cubs, reds, pirates, giants or Rockies making a jump.

I can see that with the Diamondbacks. They were in the wild card hunt surprisingly long, and weren't too many games off of the Giants.
