And with the new rules next season. the way they were constructed this year, it’s going to be hard to win with a team like that. It is going to be harder to get by if you are not really athletic, especially up the middle. And Turner is the perfect player for how teams will need to play.

What new rules is he talking about?

i wont believe it until i see john clark interviewing him at the airport.

I wonder how the new collective bargaining agreement will play into FA. Previous years even before the strike it took forever for a lot of big names to finally sign.

How about now?

I want to know why Harper isn't walking around in a sling recovering from the TJ surgery he should have had done already.

Lots of info in this

If anyone needs Jon Morosi to tell them why Turner is a good fit, then they don't know baseball

Ryan Howard says  ☹️ 😥

I'm hoping for a smart offseason.  Aggressive but not stupidly so.

Dont judge him.

What do we think about Eflin deciding to be a free agent?

Thought they could have added to the rotation.  Now they have to replace one before they can even add to.

Tbh at $15 mil they are better off letting him walk. He’s a solid back end of the rotation pitcher but he always gets hurt. So he’s unreliable. The Phillies are better off using the $15 mil they save putting it towards someone like rodon and using Bailey falter for first 2 months around June bring up painter to be the 5th starter. I’d say just use painter from day 1 but with how mlb contracts work with younger players it’s almost a guarantee they won’t bring him up til June so they keep an extra year of arbitration with painter.

I had to double take. Thought I was in the Sixers thread. Thought you hated baseball? Or am I confusing that with hockey?

Baseball is boring.  But hockey sucks.

I've probably made about 5 posts on this thread over the years.

Don't follow to much but I stay slightly informed.

He takes two steps either way and his area is covered with that arm length

Apparently he has a high strikeout percentage and just an ok hitter. Makes sense with his size he likely gets screwed with the zone
