December 16, 20223 yr Rodon signs with the Yanks. $162m/6 years, $27m AAV. I don’t think we’re re-signing Nola for less… SP FA crop in 2024 is also pretty much ass.

Probably not. Nola is gonna be the same age as rodon. I’m guessing it’s somewhere close to what rodon got. I still don’t rule out a major move at the deadline or next offseason for a pitcher like Bieber who could be available
December 16, 20223 yr Anyone else think Rodon is a bit of a risk at that type of money? I know he has been good the last two years, but prior to that he had a 4.00+ ERA every year from 2016-2020. I always get nervous when a guy seems to go from mediocre to great for a season or two. Never know if he has actually figured things out for good, or if he’s more likely to go back to what he was through most of his career.

Good for him for getting 6. He also had the QO attached to him which is why the Phillies probably didn't go near him.
December 16, 20223 yr Apparently why the padres been trying to get a big name cause he’s opting out and likely leaving.
December 18, 20223 yr Swanson signs with the Cubs- 7/177. Didn't see that one coming. I thought for sure he would've re-signed with the Braves. I do find it ironic that him and Freeman have the same agent.

December 24, 20222 yr This one was a decent watch. Big comeback. Embiid over 40. Harden ties single game franchise assist record with 21. A rebound away from a big triple double. Melton with 3 steals. Good overall team defense. Nice rotations closing out on shooters. Milton 13 off the bench.

Agree on the game, especially the D but not sure all the Phillies fans care.
