You’ve got me checking which thread I’m in.  Agree on the game, especially the D but not sure all the Phillies fans care.

Does Kimbrel have anything left?

Seemed like he returned to form a bit last year. He’s a good add to the bullpen in my opinion. We needed another solid proven arm.

Just offer a new deal .....he'll take it. He grew up a phillies fan.

You kind of forget just how magical that run felt after a couple months have passed. Hopefully we get some more over the next couple years and in our lifetime but what an amazing ride. Not sure we will ever see a player like bryce do what he did in that game 5 of the nlcs.

I'm sure there's a million reasons it can't happen, but I'd go all in on Trout.

Call it destiny, call it conspiracy theories and fixing...leagues like to write championship scripts for the face of the league.  MLB wants Trout in a World Series and wants him to win one.  Cap his ABs, cap his starts.......a Harper/Trout outfield....MLB is going to want that in the World Series.  Just saying...

I agree.  Honestly, the blatant, steroid era homerun fest of McGuire/Sosa shows how they’ll even turn a blind eye to flagrant cheating if they can secure that spotlight on the league with star players.

I can't imagine the prospects it would cost to get him. Sadly, I think he is out of the league in 5 years max.

Also something to watch - Scott Franzke's contract expired after the end of the season and they haven't announced an extension.

From the Athletic:

"

"Can you confirm whether the Phillies re-signed Scott Franzke for radio play-by-play? The most important question of the offseason! — No name

I’ll leave it at this, from a Phillies official: "We are working on it.”

The Phillies typically don’t make broadcast announcements until closer to spring training. It sounds like Franzke is returning. Larry Andersen, his longtime partner, has already talked about how he’d like to do a few more games than he did a season ago."

Weird..... He was their top reliever prospect and #11 overall.

I guess they think he can make it through waivers?

Not to mention there are going to be plenty of veteran utility players who will want to sign here for a chance at winning a World Series to replace them

Jake Cave is going to be the 4th OF

I bet they could get Bauer for cheap 😆
