He also Fed up with arrieta and Robertson. I came on here when they signed Robertson saying you don’t pay a 34 year old reliever 11.75 million per year. It’s a recipe for disaster. Either they tend to decline majorly or they begin to break down. He did. It was the same thing after paying neshek. Then you throw in garbage fire arrieta thats 25 million wasted. If you didn’t make those two horrific moves you have 36.75 million Until the luxury tax and could’ve made bigger moves.

So Jo Jo Romero was getting guys out with ease and for some reason, Girardi decided to go to his crap pen again and it goes from 6-2 to 6-4 on back to back homers. JFC I loathe this gd bullpen.

Don't look now, but Hoskins is now hitting .260 with a .976 OPS with 6 HRs and 18 RBIs.  How'd that happen?  He was so brutal to start the season.  Hopefully he is starting to forget everything Coconut Oil and his staff were teaching him about his approach and philosophy at the plate and is just going back to the basics that earned him his call up and carried over to his 1st season in the bigs.  Would definitely help the O.  Too bad he can't pitch, though.

Between the 2 of them, you know, the guys KLentak traded for to help bolster the pathetic BP, their stat line tonight was:  1.1 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 3 HRs.  BP for the Phillies doesn't stand for Bull Pen, it stands for Batting Practice.  And here's 2 more clowns to contribute to pitching batting practice to the opposition.  Good thing the O put up an 8 spot tonight.  I wonder if they feel any pressure to put up runs knowing their BP sucks and other than Nola and Wheeler that the SP isn't really good either?

This bullpen is bad cause he wasted 36.5 million on arrieta and Robertson. Neither have done anything and both were older pitchers he signed. Imagine actually using that 36 million on multiple pitchers and players actually contributing to the team. That’s worth at least 3-4 more wins if you have those type of contributions instead of arrieta being garbage and Robertson pitching 5 innings

Yup.  Way overpaid for 2 older and declining Ps.  Seems the Phillies and Sixers like keeping around their bad GMs for some reason.

 

Of all their mishaps, the sequence of trading Sixto/Alfaro for JT and likely not re-signing JT is the one that stings me the most.

Blowing tons of draft picks?  Sure, it happens.  Misguided and overpriced FA additions?  Sure, everyone can take that bait at times.

buster olney was just on the fanatic and said he doesnt think the chances of JT re-signing with the phillies are that good. thats BS, they need to get a new deal done.

Pretty good - struck out the side in the 1st and worked in a nasty changeup.

I’ve been saying for a while now i think he leaves. I think the Phillies are going to pull this BS pandemic made it so we couldn’t get a deal done and when he got to the market it was too much to spend. At that point fire klentak for even making that trade without knowing you were going to have to sign him at all costs. Add on middleton can go f himself for being a cheapass with arrieta and Robertson coming off the books.

i was on the fence for a while, but now i dont see him coming back. what a gigantic F up by this team.

If i had an extra 1000 dollars i would place it on him not coming back. Additionally if they gave me a team i believe it’s the Mets. I’d think padres but i don’t think his wife wants to leave the area and the Mets arent that far away.
