Topper with another bad decision for not using soto for 2 innings after he had 14 pitches in 5 days and hadn’t pitched since Saturday. Could’ve had soto for two, alavardo and kimbrel into the 10th. At least give yourself a chance in the 10th to possibly just need that run from 2nd. Again let’s go back to Tuesday. You lost that game assuming you would need alavardo on Wednesday. Meanwhile rain ppd hits. So you could’ve used Alvarado, soto and kimbrel on Tuesday after an off day and possibly won that game then knowing rain in the forecast for Wednesday and not knowing if those guys would even be needed for that game anyway.

that said schwarber is an awful fielder. Have to catch that. Frankly if he doesn’t hit homers is basically useless to the team as he’s awful as a fielder. It’s why I’d just move harper to first and try to get an outfielder that is a solid fielder and can hit

How is that ball to schwarber called a hit

In fairness less on marte as schwarber ends the inning with only 1 run if he can catch a baseball. Granted marte still sucks

Yeah that should be an error. I’m guessing it’s changed to that.

As much crap as we gave hoskins for his lousy fielding and hot/cold streaks this team clearly misses him. I like Clemens defense at first but really he’s a backup player and not an everyday starter. They also are not getting a great seasons from Turner, harper (Risp wise and power wise) and realmuto. I’d argue bohm also hasn’t made a big jump from last year. He’s basically just the same player.

I thought Turner would more than replace Hoskins on offense this year but you are right, the top guys are not playing their A games, at least not yet.  Hopefully that changes soon or this team is in trouble.

Frankly the Braves are better than the Phillies. Less name recognition of guys but just overall better. Their staff 1-5 is better. Their bullpen is deeper. We have 4 guys which is fine in the postseason but not regular season. And hitting wise they are far more consistent than the Phillies. That said Mets series they need to take at least 2 of 3. If they don’t it’s not good. Currently 5-10 against the NL east. That’s not good considering September we have 17 games vs. NL east and none are the nats

Who's worse to watch field a flyball- Schwarber or Harrison? Lol.

Sell.

Stott, Sosa, Clemens, Marsh,Pache..... these 5 should not be moved. If anyone asks about any other player on the majors roster..... listen and make a move.

I’d be fine dealing sosa or Clemens. Clemens and sosa are just bench guys. More they play the worst you see from them. Fine in a bench role.

Big move

I'm guessing the same way Dylan Covey is also.

They are decent in the bench role..... along with being part of a chemistry...... you can rebuild a team but that decent bench/sub is not always easy to find.

Your Honor I give you exhibit A

Now they won't have to charge for vending machine drinks in the club house.

Of the top 9 pitchers in MLB who have pitched the most innings ( all in the 98-100 range), only 1 has an ERA over 4. Guess who? N-O-L-A NOLA. No-No-No-No-NOLA.

Just as amazing he had a streak of 12 (now 13) consecutive games going 6 or more innings. Only one other pitcher in mlb history has gone 11 straight of 6 innings or more and given up a homerun in each of those starts.
