Can't they sub anybody in for Hall? Anyone at all I'd take. Hall is absolutely dreadful.

Meh, if anyone deserves a pass for this kind of thing it's Harper

Clemens was worlds better

When Burnes is on, he's really good

This is why i went into the rant about them not putting harper at firdt cause he could screw up and cost them against the brewers. Hall is Fing useless. He’s a bad defensive player and can’t hit. You are better off having harper at 1b, schwarber at DH and Rojas and marsh as outfield. Hall can’t hit lefties or righties so makes no difference what the matchup is and his defense isn’t nearly good enough to justify him playing

Losers.  Sell

I think I’m more frustrated and disheartened by the Painter news than anyone.  I’m just sick and tired of getting excited by top Phillies prospects.

This is an injury that robbed him of both 2023 and 2024.  They turned it into a 2 year injury.  Now he’ll be entering 2025 having not pitched for years.  He won’t be remotely major league ready.  We’ll be entering 2026 with talks of him potentially breaking into the last spot in the rotation, just like 2023.  It’s devastating for his chances of turning into a special pitcher.

It also means we have to wait a very long time for potential top of the rotation help as Nola and Wheeler decline over the next few years.

At least most of the other teams in the WC race lost today

Biggest issue to me is the Phillies either have to really take command in august with an east schedule or we are gonna have a intense race the last 4 weeks of the year cause we face the Braves, marlins and Mets 17 times. They are 6-12 vs. those 3 teams

Idk the Phillies schedule in august really sets up for them to take off.

3 at marlins (1 game on July 31)

3 vs. royals

4 vs. nats

3 vs twins

2 at toronto

3 at nats

3 vs. SF

3 vs. cardinals

3 vs. angels

besides marlins, blue jays, marlins and SF the rest of that schedule they really should feast. If they can manage to go 5-6 in those 11 games they really could just destroy the other games. None of those other teams are good. Could realistic go 5-6 in those games and go 12-4 in the rest and find themselves in a good spot.

Well, kinda....

Brewers: Where does Corbin Burnes stack up in the 2022 Cy Young race?

Thankfully he played in all three games vs. the brewers and was a masterful 1-8 with 4 Ks

And if that doesn’t work out you lose him in the off-season because the Yankees offer him $600 mil

I think he’s going to the Dodgers. The Dodgers have been planning this out for about two years now. That’s why you saw last off-season they weren’t super aggressive. They knew this was coming and they knew Ohtani wanted to stay on the West Coast and california if at all possible. I used to think the Mets would give him a blank check And he would consider it. But I think he wants to stay on the West Coast. I think there’s a better chance he goes to the Mariners then he goes to the Mets and I don’t think either one of them great chances.

Depending on the cost, I'd be pretty happy if they added Bellinger.
