Be nice to see what the numbers say in the middle of the circles. Can’t see with what pic

was able to find it on Google. Yeah Ted Williams was ridiculous. I wish schwarber was just a 220-235 hitter. I’m not even asking for .250 but it’s amazing he’s .182 and hitting leadoff

The bigger issue with Schwarber is a lot of his home runs have been solo shots. If you had stott and Harper or stott and bohm batting 1-2 and get on so that at 3 you would have Schwarber coming up he potentially has guys on base when he hit a home run or is just an out. Him batting lead off paid off there because somebody got on before him. We haven’t had many 2-3 run homers this year. With how stott and harper hit and get on base have more chance for it with schwarber hitting 3rd

I'm not even close to being a big baseball guy but, even I can see what you are saying and understand it. How comes Thompson can't?

He’s had 27 homers. 19 are solo.  I don’t  think he wants to rock the boat with schwarber and Turner by moving them into different spots. The Phillies record with Schwarber as the lead off is really good. However, I think if you put a Bryce Harper at the lead off spot their record will probably look really good. At this point stott has earned being moved up to the top of the lineup.

Let's goooooo!!

It’s skewed cause nats 19 run game raises it .026 (.285 since that game) and they do it for 2-3 games then horrible for 4-5 games. This month

I had a feeling they might be skewed a bit, I've been watching pretty much every game and it's been mostly ugly.

The last 4 games they’ve been better. Although against cleveland almost all their RISP hits came in the 10th. Was encouraging the last two games vs. the orioles but so far tonight 2-7 and one of the hits didn’t even get a run home.

I wish they would swing on first pitch more, they swing at garbage right after the first pitch down the middle anyways. Am I wrong in thinking that?

sometimes that’s what you want to do. Sometimes that’s the best pitch you are going to see. Like Turner, his best pitch to hit was the very first pitch.

The bigger issue is they are swinging the third highest rate at balls out of the zone. That means the pitcher doesn’t really have to just give you good pitches to hit and you aren’t making him work because he knows you’re going to chase. This is a problem for everybody on this team except for Bryson Stott, bohm and harper

for instance

That's what I mean, it's ridiculous.

Ok that was a hell of a defensive play by Turner. Makes up for 1 of his 14 errors

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! There we go just gave the numbers with bases loaded 118! Yuk!

Marsh at bat illustrates the larger problem again. First pitch right at the corner of the zone. Probably should’ve been a ball. Second pitch right down Broadway and he looks at it and didn’t swing. Last pitch not in the zone and he chased it. So you’re not really following the pitch when determining your swing. You’re swinging prior to the pitch because you made your mind up you are swinging regardless cause you are down 0-2

Need to get him out of the 3 and 4 hole right now. Along with moving Turner down.
