It's even crazier when you watch the Primetime games. When the game is over, it's only dinner time out there. I love it so far, it just sucks for baseball since I work while they play during the week. Gonna suck for hockey too

August 2, 20232 yr Interesting factoid: In 2005, 33 players hit over .300. This year, that number is 10.

If you are gonna swing at bad pitches then you have to make sure you hit the ones in the zone. Unfortunately he hadn’t and would either swing and miss or be behind and foul it off. Frankly no clue why Robertson and his catcher up 0-2 in the count remotely threw anything close to the middle of the plate as castellanos showing for the last month he’d chase really bad pitches out of the zone when he falls behind. But he did and castellanos finally connected.

I’m guessing the Phillies would’ve been more inclined to trade for Duvall or a bat like that if he really struggled in the time he was up here. Unless they were going to get a big time bat i think the figured he with his defense was capable of providing a spark.
August 3, 20232 yr The sixth inning at bats so far have been arguably the best they’ve had in a while and no one actually got a hit. They are making the pitcher work and all of them got walks beside sosa who got hit. This was something they missed with Rhys. that he would draw a lot of walks and see a lot of pitches. The phillies besides stott and bohm this year really haven’t shown this a lot. If they start doing this they could really become dangerous offensively well went downhill a little after stubbs. Particularly schwarber. Don’t know why he’s swinging 3-0 when this pitcher really was on the verge of breaking down. If schwarber was hot/in a zone and hitting homers I’d understand. Nice job by bohm though hit that double

August 3, 20232 yr This team is infuriating at times. It was easier when they were just terrible. Instead, they're just good enough to keep us invested, but not good enough to consistently win.
August 3, 20232 yr Of course the Phillies offense finally gives the pitching a 5 run lead and the bullpen gets destroyed. should’ve just used freaking kimbrel. He didn’t pitch yesterday. If anything you may not even need him tomorrow and then you face the royals so might not use him that series with how bad the royals are.

The issue with strahm is the Phillies kept throwing him out there as a starter into the beginning of May. He’s way over the amount of innings he should be at when we got him
