August 16, 20232 yr I know it will never happen, but I wouldn't even have Nola in the postseason rotation, if they actually manage not to piss away a playoff spot, Wheeler, Suarez, Sanchez, Walker, Lorenzen are all more deserving of that chance.

August 17, 20232 yr Of course Phillies tie the game then nola implodes next half inning. I rather skip him in the rotation than walker. At least walker battles and gets to 6 innings just 3 runs. Nola can’t even get to the 6 inning anymore. He has failed to pitch 6 innings in his last 4 starts (assuming he doesn’t tonight). He’s given up 3 or more ERs in 5 of his last 7 starts.

I was at the single admission double header a couple weeks ago. Dude in front of me boo'd harper after he made an out in game 1. I just don't understand some people. What more proof that the guy is going to produce do people want. All he does is be a top 10 hitter in the league every single year of his career and then the one time we make the postseason he carries us to the WS with clutch epic bombs with an elbow injury. Not to mention we have literally none of these guys on the current roster if we didnt sign Harper first.

His power issue likely stems from his TJ surgery and he’s finally getting healthier and the muscles around it are getting back into where they used to be. I made a post a couple weeks back Ohtani had a similar issue to harper when he first returned from his TJ. Ohtani came back 217 days after surgery. He had 3 HRs before his 250th day removed from surgery. After he had 15. Harper came back 160 days (ridiculous he was able to) and had 3 homers before his 250th day removed from surgery. Even some of his hits and outs he’s making better contact with exit velocity and lift on the ball. If he can somehow get red hot like he did last postseason in October it may be enough to carry them for a round or two if they get pitching like the analytics and numbers have shown since June 1.

August 19, 20232 yr Would be the ultimate Phillies thing to do to go up 6-1 with a 6 run inning. Then give the 6 right back next half inning then never score again the rest of the night.
