Damn, you're right. I just checked his last 5 starts and the most earned runs he has given up was 3, ironically against Washington. It just irritates me that he came out small in this game when they need to win this series. I guess if they won on Friday night, this game wouldn't irritate me as much.

The issue is more of this, the Phillies are an analytic based organization. The analytics told them that he sucks against the Washington nationals this year. It wasn’t like a small sample size either. It’s been three starts against them that he hasn’t been what he has shown against everybody else. So instead of running him out there against the nationals, you could’ve just moved Walker up to this start since they already skipped one of his starts or switched nola and wheeler this week so nola goes tonight and you get wheeler game 1 vs. the giants in a massive series.

Well if this score holds up the Phillies managing to go 7-6 vs the freaking nationals this year.  Also lost 2 of last 3 series against the nats

this team not showing up til the freaking 9th. Meanwhile Trevor Williams has been dogshit all year for the nats and they can’t get more than 1 hit off of him in 6 innings.

add on this team has been pretty mediocre over the last month. They’ve gone 15-15 in their last 30 games. after the orioles series was supposed to be the easiest part of their schedule til September. They sit at 12-10

Yeah they’re backing right into their September swoon

Usually about the time it starts for them. Haven’t had a winning September since 2017. Usually starts right a couple days before the end of august. They finished last season going 15-20 in their last 35 games of the season.

3 hits against a crap pitcher and another series loss against a crap team. Maybe they just don't take the Nats seriously and think its a chance to take nights off. I don't get it.

Idk feels like every year since 2019 either the last or second to last place team in the NL east gives the Phillies issues most of the year. This year the entire NL seems to give the Phillies issues. They are currently 16-19 vs. NL east.

They completely blew the easy part of their schedule.  Once they lose this series against the Giants their postseason chances will really be in jeopardy

The NL is terrible.  They will have one of the wild card spots.  I don't expect much from them in the playoffs though unless the homeruns are coming in hot.

What a F'n clown nola is

Hilarious

Might want to consider moving trea to the leadoff spot with him hitting nearly .380 since the ovation. Move harper up to 2 with castellanos at 3 and schwarber at 4 with bohm, stott, realmuto and marsh behind him. That way you get righty, lefty, R,L, R,L,R, L 1-8 in the lineup.

I love watching Stott hit. Wish there were more guys like him on the team.

Sosa with a 2 run shot!

Just like clockwork, Nola gives a run right back with another home run. This guy. Wow.

Honestly feels like every time the Phillies give nola a lead he gives a run back the very next half inning.

I’ve got a bohmer

Sosa Triple. Got the two most difficult parts of a cycle out of the way already.

Feels like pissing away that run at third will come back to haunt us

Someone should make the end of it into a gif

As bullish as I am on Rojas, the kid really needs to work on his awareness when he's leading off a base. That's the second time he's been picked off since he's been up, and a couple other times he's been damn close.

Yeah, crap like that can get you sent down real quick, especially when it's happened multiple times.

Once he puts it all together, I do think he's going to be special.  Only 23 years old, already hitting .286 in the majors. Elite speed, and his defense speaks for itself. He has a few things to tweak still (the pick offs, for one) but I don't think he's anywhere close to his ceiling yet.
