September 2, 20232 yr Argument that Hoffman has been the most consistent BP arm this year and is now toast thanks to poor defense
September 2, 20232 yr Well, it is September and the Phillies haven’t had a winning September in six years. So not really surprising that they find ways to lose in September.

I think their rotation is fine if nola wasn’t so damn inconsistent. I’d say even bad cause he’s good for like 2 starts then reverts back for like 3-4. Wheeler has been good outside of playing the nationals. Frankly if he avoided the nationals he’s likely a frontrunner for cy young. The issue is nola. Walker was paid to be a 3-4 starter. He’s been that. Lorenzen is a 4-5 starter. He’s been that Sanchez is a 5 and we got more out of him then what we probably should’ve expected. Ranger as a 3 is fine. The issue is nola being as bad as he has this year. If you had wheeler pitching like he has and nola pitched closer to what he was in 2022 (regular season) they likely are running away with the Wc. Nola is mentally fragile right now. Anything that doesn’t go right he lets turn into an avalanche. When it’s going well he’s fine. He’s a frontrunner type pitcher right now. the bullpen has been a massive let down this year. Kimbrel was fine til august. Now he’s reverting back to closer to what he has been the past couple years. Reminds me of his yesr where he was great for the cubs then traded to white Sox and fell off the face of the planet. Alvarado couldn’t stay healthy and since he’s come back has been wild with his pitches. He’s fortunate the brewers game is the only one that really cost him. Soto and dominguez both letdowns this year. Dominguez era isn’t bad but he’s been worse than that indicates. Soto move is one i think you do again. But the results from him haven’t been what they thought. I’d argue Hoffman has been the most consistent BP piece all year.
September 3, 20232 yr Wow bohm and realmuto went back to back. Let’s see if the bullpen attempts to give it back
September 3, 20232 yr What the hell was that Bohm? You call for it and you were 10 feet off a pop up. Yea he caught it but my god that was a disaster in the making
