September 23, 20232 yr Gregory Soto is going to cost the Phillies a playoff game. I'm really hoping he isn't on the postseason roster.

Phillies bullpen in general doesn’t have anyone reliable. Even Hoffman last outing before tonight was bad. I think it’s why that Orion kid was brought up. Figured if guys are gonna suck anyway might as well see if the kid comes up big.

September 23, 20232 yr Dominguez was fortunate Alonso swung at anything. Besides the first pitch, the rest weren’t in the zone or borderline where the imo was calling them balls. Alonso walks if he just doesn’t swing.

My parents are staying with us from Philly and they couldn’t believe it. I drank a lot tonight but I knew you’d be dialed in. 😂

However dominguez has been pitching like that recently. He’s afraid to throw strikes in the zone when he gets ahead in the count. When he falls behind he doesn’t have confidence in his stuff to get himself back into the count and put the hitter away. It’s why Nimmo walked and McNeil (the pitch they missed should’ve been a strike but he isn’t consistent with the zone right now so the imo more proned to calling it a ball when you aren’t consistently hitting the zone).

Ahh ok, I didn't get to watch the game because it was on Apple TV..... I just saw the box score and what you said and was hoping he was just pitching Alonso like that on purpose

Really the only batter he got ahead 0-2 with pitches in the zone then threw strikes after getting ahead was lindor and finally put him away on a pitch way out of the zone lindor shouldn’t have swung at (although pitch 5 was a strike but the ump sucked and he was all over the place to the two the previous batters he didn’t get the call). The McNeil at bat the only pitch that was definitely in the zone and not borderline strike zone was pitch 5. But since he was all over the place, the ump called it a ball

September 23, 20232 yr I just saw the error on Turner. What ever happened to getting your body in front of the ball? I noticed he does that backhand garbage quite frequently. Is that laziness or is that what they are taught now?
