That's good. Now they can get some guys rest, especially some of the key bullpen pieces.

Rest the BP regulars the remainder of the current series and only pitch them once in the upcoming series to stay sharp.

I’d rest Nola the last game of the season to preserve him for the playoffs, and flip flop Walker and Sanchez so that Sanchez gets more rest for the post season. Walker has no business playing in the post season except for mop up duty.

Furthermore, no SP pitcher should go more than 2-3 innings for the rest of the regular season, except for Walker.

So he's Jacob DeGrom but better?

Just saying, lets let the kid pitch a few innings.

I didn't say he was better.

I'm saying that a comparable player who throws 100 and has a high 80s/low 90s slider with spin and movement is DeGrom

The other great GM in Philly who doesn't get nearly enough credit.  All he does is assemble teams that win pennants and World Series.  Well done Mr. D

DD is no Matt Klentak.

Middleton stepping in and getting us harper really got the ball rolling. We’d probably have machado right now if it were up to klentak.

The wife and I are going to game one!!!

Nice.  I was offered a ticket to the game in Philly against the Braves last year where Rhys did the bat spike and had to turn it down.  WTF was I thinking?!

Wow, Castro actually made a great play in the field.

I went to game 3 against the Padres.  It was the best crowd at any game I’d been to since the old Eagles games at the Vet.

I went to the NLCS vs. the Dodgers in '08 when they went on to win the World Series.  I will tell you, I've been to a lot of Eagles games, at the Vet, at the Linc...I have never been to a game that loud before.  This was when we all had the white rally towels, I was on 3rd base side, upper deck but 1st row.  It was scary, the place was literally shaking.  With each strike, the place would just get louder....I have no doubt, it affected the Dodgers.
