October 17, 20232 yr Phillies have got to figure out their crap with RISP. It cost them games this year and a World Series game 5. They’ve played 7 games here’s what they’ve done with Risp Marlins GM 1: 3-14 marlins GM 2: 2-9 braves GM 1: 2-8 braves GM 2: 2-8 Braves GM 3: 3-10 braves GM 4: 0-6 vs. Az game 1: 2-10 they’ve basically been awful every game. But managed to find ways to win. Eventually it’s gonna catch you. Have to be better than 14-65 (.215)

October 17, 20232 yr All I was thinking last evening, 5-0 was not good enough and that they need to stop leaving villages on the basepaths.....these games are waaaaaaayyyyyy to stressful! And at this point Sir Anthony should not be used in high intensity situations, he is constantly putting people on base. I'd rather have Orion out there.

I can appreciate it's a high stress job, and he has performed in the past...but literally, I thought he was going to cry in the dugout watching the game after he got pulled. Nope, no thank you.

The issue is have to face a minimum of 3 batters unless he comes in for someone mid inning and gets an out to end the inning. I actually thought wheeler should’ve gone back out for the 7th. Seen what happened with the first batter then made a decision. Granted walker has good numbers vs. wheeler for his career. But i rather go down with wheeler than dominguez who’s been super inconsistent week to week this year. Dominguez one week looks great and next looks like crap. Soto basically the same.

They’ve been awful for 7 games. Usually when you are that bad for that extended period of time, it eventually turns. The dbacks had been good with Risp until the last dodgers game. Hitting .275 with Risp which is higher then their season average of .250. eventually they also will revert back to the mean of what they are. Phillies are hitting .215 with RISP. On the year they were .256. So I’m guessing eventually it’ll trend back up.
