He’s actually hit well. Bohm isn’t a cleanup hitter. He’s always been better in the 5 hole then the 4. This goes to the stupid LRLRLR in the 1st 6 batters.

I would consider moving Nick to the 4, have Bohm hit 7 then Marsh hit 8th.

Maybe moving Castellanos to 4 to get him going again. But right now he’s 1-9 in the series. The only hit he had was the home run. Otherwise he looked bad especially this game. Granted everyone really looks bad. that said, I think tomorrow is a near must win for the Phillies. There is a good chance if you lose game 4 that you’re gonna come back to Philly down 3 games to 2. Zac Gallen is a much better pitcher at home then he is on the road. even with wheeler going against him you’re likely in a battle like you are today. which means it’s a tossup with who’s going to come out on top.

Yeah. I was thinking that as well. That damn team can cool off faster than crap and jerk us the f around in the process

It’s a massive loss in the playoffs when for 8 of the games your Are hitting .203. This year we’ve seen the Phillies can look like world beaters and score 10 and offense clicks for 2 weeks. but usually when things go that well for a stretch then they revert to looking like they can’t hit a baseball off T-ball stand

They have been living on the HR vs advancing runners outside of the last game. Quite a bit of their lineup hasn't hit this series including Nick outside of the HR. We agree tomorrow is a must win.

October 20, 20232 yr Big game tomorrow that I will miss much of, the last 5 Wheeler road games in the playoffs are all loses so unlike may I do not feel good about game 5

Yeah the only ones that actually hit consistently this series are Turner, harper, jt (was bad tonight though) and marsh. Everyone else is struggling unless they hit a homer. schwarber is 3-10 with 3 HRs turner 4-10 harper 3-9 bohm 2-11 Stott 2-10 realmuto 3-11 castellanos 1-9 marsh 3-9 rojas 1-11 I’ve thought this series would go 6 the entire time. However if you lose tomorrow have a feeling you are going to see gallen pitch a gem in game 5 especially if the offense struggles tomorrow. Then you really get into a funk. Chance you go back to Philly down 3-2 having to face Merrill kelly with nola going. Which nola has be great but second time the dbacks have seen him in a week makes it much tougher

But, I would also green light Harper stealing every time. If he successful, have JT not swing assuming they won't give him crap to knock Harper in and get 1st and 2nd with good speed and have Stott batting 6th.......
October 20, 20232 yr I don't watch regular season baseball, but watching that game last night, I'm like that ump has to be one of the worst I've ever seen....and it appears this was known beforehand?? I mean with the f'ing f..... https://fansided.com/posts/phillies-diamondbacks-game-3-umpire-reviews This article came out BEFORE the f'ing game.....they couldn't find anyone better? I mean there were only 2 f'ing games! And then to top it off, not only did he miss the check swing for a strike out but the first base ump missed it too!

MLB couldn't find anyone in the top 10? MLB really likes to embarrass themselves and that check swing was a joke. A competent home plate ump automatically calls that a swing but to have the first base ump miss it as well? Pathetic.

And to just totally end the game, 1st and 2nd with one out after Turner makes the great play at home, Kimbrel absolutely strikes out Perdomo. What happens then, 2 outs with runners on 1st and 2nd and you can set up a normal defense and even if Marte gets a hit, you have a chance at home. Yes, the Phillies bats were handled but they still could have had a chance. And honestly, did the Ump have as much to do with their bats as the Phillies? I'd reckon to say...YEP!
