There have been some huge complaints from Cardinals players on jerseys with changed nameplates and cheap-o jerseys.  It could be a league-wide problem.

It's actually not Nike.... It's Fanatics.  Nike basically licensed their logo to Fanatics.

If anyone has bought anything from them, you know how bad their quality control is.

Remember all of the issues they had with the Kelly Green Eagles jerseys?

So Nike just outsources their jersey work to Fanatics?  What do they even do with the uniforms then?

Everything is done under Nike's direction. Fanatics is evil in their own way. But in this particular case they are just following orders.

However, things that I have read said the players are complaining that the stuff looks cheap.

Eskin predicted 5 year/$40m per for Wheeler. If that’s what Wheeler is asking, I’m moving on.

Nike partnered with Fanatics — which had purchased MLB’s 2005-19 uniform supplier, Majestic, in April 2017 — to manufacture the jerseys. So the Nike jerseys are now produced by Fanatics, out of the same Pennsylvania factory where Majestic jerseys were once made. "The money exchanged in these deals is really just for that brand’s corporate logo on the jersey,”

Creamer wrote. "The leagues or the companies involved don’t seem too bothered by who is actually producing it.”

I’ll tell you this majestic jerseys were far better than the Nike even from the before 2024. Frankly majestic, rawlinfs and Wilson all did a really good job from 1950s til Nike. Shame fanatics and Nike basically have ruined the baseball jerseys.

Phillies signed Whit Merrifield!

Good signing

Great piece to add in Merrifield.

Looks like he lost some of what I’d call baby fat. Maybe he decided to lose some fat due to his knee bothering him last year and it might help.

What a shitshow

Apparently they replaced the out of town scoreboard in right field with a giant LED screen
