May 5, 20241 yr Braves lose again today. Walker needs to pitch well today, could grab another game on the Braves

Moving him to the pen could cost them games for one. Also, if someone gets hurt as you mentioned pitchers are a delicate bunch. Will they be able to move him back and have him pick up where he left off? Bottom line is don't screw up a good thing.

I really think this is a Dombrowski decision. Word was going around Turnbull was gonna be in the rotation and then all of a sudden nope he’s in the pen. There’s no reason other than the injury history but you also have to go with your gut and if Turnbull has the confidence and wants the ball you give him the ball. You go with the hot player every time. I don’t think Topper wanted to move him based on his performance alone
May 6, 20241 yr If we can somehow get Castellanos going would be huge. If he’s the same by the trade deadline i think you make a move for a bat.
May 6, 20241 yr This ump sucks. Both of those pitches to Rojas weren’t close to strikes. and then Walker hits the corner much closer and calls it a ball.
May 6, 20241 yr For the 2nd straight game, Thomson throws Walker out for the 7th inning and for the 2nd straight game, he gives up a titanic homerun. Walker is AT BEST a 6 inning pitcher. Count your blessings you got 6 solid innings from him and hand it to the bullpen from there.

May 6, 20241 yr Rojas had 2 chances tonight to make great plays and failed. Granted, they were both tough but that's supposedly why he is out there and not in the minors.
