Yeah I guess. Not sure how that would play in the locker room though. How would NC feel about being a platoon player? Do I care or should DD care? Nope.

Frankly, if you give a guy four months and he still in the same position, he’s in then you’ve given him enough time to do it. At that point it falls on the fact he is what he is and you’re not likely turning it around this year. The Phillies are in a win now window. Not sure how many more good chances they’ll have at a WS. Gotta go all in on this year if they continue to play at this pace.

Was also thinking that they may need to look at a real backup catcher if JT's knee is gonna be a problem. Can't keep having these limp Stubbs at-bats. So, if we're counting, that's 2 relievers, a bench bat, and a backup catcher. Doubt accomplishing all of those by the trade deadline is realistic.

Backup catcher probably least priority unless realmuto is out long term. I think a reliever and an OF bat is most realistic. Can use Sanchez and turnbull in the pen during the playoffs so that helps a little with the pen for postseason.

Whoa, what was that? A hit with a runner in scoring position!!

Yeah good point about using Sanchez and Turnbull in the pen. When they showed JT crouching down earlier, he was grimacing. I'm somewhat worried about him. Hope it's not a meniscus.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t play tomorrow if he doesn’t go on 10-15 day IL. I Saw that pic so I’m kind of expecting it to happen

Great job Nola!

Phils win! Great pitching by Nola.

That was a heck of pitching job by Nola.

Someone just brought up that the Phillies got 4 runs on 7 hits and today would have been halladays 47th birthday

Awesome chase story

There have been 202 3-pitch innings in MLB history.  I wonder how many of them included a single and double play.

Two weeks back I remember thinking how nice it was to see the bench contributing and that it boded well for the long term (this season).  That capability is showing itself the last 10 days with several of the starting nine missing time.

Right now this looks like the best version of this core of guys.  They will need to do it in Sept/Oct as well but it sure does look good at the moment.

BRYCE!!!

I’m actually surprised this game started on time or is even attempted to play through it. Looks awful out there. And the Phillies play the Mets enough to get it in and close enough to get it in on a day both have off.

These conditions are terrible. Should not be playing right now

Is Sosa hurt? Why is he not sliding?

Ok nvm he’s just a dope

More baserunning blunders. It will never end I guess

Yeah, that was ugly. Catcher already had the ball when McCarthy said jt ignored the stop sign

Bohm has tatooed the ball tonight with nothing to show for it.

On the replay that was a terrible stop sign from Wathan. He just pointed to the bag while waving his other arm instead of putting both arms up. Confused JT

Not sure why JT totally blew the stop sign. Cost them a run. Hope it doesn’t cost them.
