Nope. Frankly, if you give a guy four months and he still in the same position, he’s in then you’ve given him enough time to do it. At that point it falls on the fact he is what he is and you’re not likely turning it around this year. The Phillies are in a win now window. Not sure how many more good chances they’ll have at a WS. Gotta go all in on this year if they continue to play at this pace.
May 14, 20241 yr Nola just had a 3 pitch inning to get through the 7th. And one of the pitches was a single lol

Can't keep having these limp Stubbs at-bats. So, if we're counting, that's 2 relievers, a bench bat, and a backup catcher. Doubt accomplishing all of those by the trade deadline is realistic.

Backup catcher probably least priority unless realmuto is out long term. I think a reliever and an OF bat is most realistic. Can use Sanchez and turnbull in the pen during the playoffs so that helps a little with the pen for postseason.

When they showed JT crouching down earlier, he was grimacing. I'm somewhat worried about him. Hope it's not a meniscus.

May 15, 20241 yr Two weeks back I remember thinking how nice it was to see the bench contributing and that it boded well for the long term (this season). That capability is showing itself the last 10 days with several of the starting nine missing time. Right now this looks like the best version of this core of guys. They will need to do it in Sept/Oct as well but it sure does look good at the moment.
May 15, 20241 yr I’m actually surprised this game started on time or is even attempted to play through it. Looks awful out there. And the Phillies play the Mets enough to get it in and close enough to get it in on a day both have off.
